Lucy Heartfilia

The Heartfilia bloodline has been full of celestial mages, every generation getting stronger. This, however, has the side effect of each one getting closer to becoming a spirit. It starts small.

Until you get Lucy.

Lucy is born sickly, with golden pupils like the spirits her mother summons. Golden freckles adorn her body, with constellations mixed in. The baby continually gets ill and cries uncomfortably.

This is when Aquarius steps in, with permission she takes Lucy into the celestial world. Due to the family, Lucy tows the line between human and spirit. She can function as a spirit in the celestial world, and a human in earthland. But she cannot be far from either for too long.

Lucy is raised with two mothers, until Layla dies. Aquarius had been briefly given away before this and is overjoyed to be reunited with Lucy.

The rest of Lucy's life is fairly similar to canon! The main difference being that she is stronger than her canon self.

Wendy avoided being trapped on tenrou due to Mest. He had a gut feeling and took her before Acnologia showed up, arguing that she's just a kid and couldn't have been left behind.

She lived with the guilt of running for seven years.
