I’ve seen some people making Loki variant Oc’s floating around TikTok and it gave me an idea!

A Loki variant where everything in the time line stays the same except this Loki’s appearance and personality are based off of Loki from Norse Mythology. So instead of the black, slicked back, shoulder length haired Loki we know and love from the mcu, this variant has long, bright red/ginger hair, it’s a lot fluffier, decorated with braids and other traditional hair jewels/beading. He also possibly has pointed ears (either like full elf ears or just little elf ears, I assume no one can tell b/c of his hair). He probably also has pale green eyes and wears traditional Viking makeup. He definitely changes between male leaning, female leaning, and androgynous forms way more often depending on how he’s feeling.

He’s also leans a lot more on the mischievous/playful side rather then the cold calculating side like the mcu version. I Imagine his personality is kind of a mix of the reckless, mischief causing Loki from mythology and the playful drama king Loki we see later in the series. I can just imagine this Loki playing a lot more harmless pranks that then gets him into trouble later on. For example; cutting Sif’s hair, I can imagine him using illusions to hide weapons or armour from Thor and Warriors, and every now and again he just likes to sneak up on people and spook them. He just likes to do silly things mostly to entertain himself with complete disregard for the consequences until it’s too late.

I think his nexus even would be something really silly as well. Like maybe one day he just didn’t feel like doing a full face of make up, or he has the strange compulsion to use magic to make his hair black or something. Like just something incredibly stupid and silly.

Idk, I just think the idea of a silly, slightly chaotic Loki is just really fun to think about! I shall also be calling this Variant Norse Loki, he is now my baby and I love him 🥰

I would also like to mention that this idea was greatly inspired by muirin007 on TikTok! I absolutely love the energy and over all vibe of the mythological Loki they portray in all their Loki videos! They have videos explaining Norse mythology as well as info on vikings and other cool stuff! They also do mcu Loki content which is pretty cool so if you have TikTok, you should definitely check them out!

And for anyone who is more well versed in Norse mythology feel free to also leave ideas/suggestions about this idea! I would love to hear more about Loki from the mythology in general, or maybe just some mythology related events that could work in this scenario!

A few facts about Bard Loki (because I love her)

She was pruned a long time ago, like most of the other Lokis, but she doesn't exactly know how much time.

She plays several instruments, including the hurdy-gurdy, the violin and the accordion. She mainly learned on her own after finding said instruments during her explorations of the Void.

She's quite creative in general. Her talents involve playing music and singing, but also telling stories and drawing. Any medium that can be used for story-telling.

She doesn't mind being alone, but she's always delighted to have an audience.

She often speaks to herself because she didn't really had anyone to talk to for centuries.

She's actually pretty healthy both mentally and physically. Mainly because she never really picked any fights or bothered with unseless quabbles. She just minds her own business.

While she most often appears as a rather short and young looking woman, she can also shapeshift into a male form. She doesn't mind that much, she just enjoys playing with her appearance. She thinks was born in a masculine body but she's not sure.

She met Sylvie after witnessing some strange Alioth activity. Sylvie was surprised to meet a new Loki Variant and wondered how many more might be scattered through the Void.

She has a little black cat who she claims is a Loki too. No one knows if it's true. The cat could be lying, but that would make it more probable that it's a Loki.

While she occasionally joins the rest of the group for partying and hearing all the juicy gossips about the Multiverse War, she also spends a lot of time in her secret hiding.

Her secret hiding is a whole basement full of all the books, movies, music albums she could find. Litterally anything she stumbles into.

But she has a preference for fantasy and sci-fi.

She's not always as happy as she looks. She often misses her family and friends.

Her Nexus Event involves the death of her friend Verity Willis. She's happy the TVA erased her reality because Verity survived.

She gets along with Kid Loki the most.

She's also a hopeless romantic and she's totally going to put her nose in other poeple's business if she thinks they need a bit of help. By other poeple she means Mobius and Revelation.

Another teaser for my fanfiction

I don't remember when I ended up in the Void. Time doesn't really exist in this place. I think it was quite a long time ago.

My Nexus Event ? I... I killed my best friend. Or I let her die, but it's the same thing. Her name is Verity Willis. I miss her a lot. I'm happy the TVA got me, if that means she is still alive. *giggles uncomfortably*

I've been alone for a long time, but that's alright.

I was where I deserved to be.

And it wasn't that bad, you know ! I started collecting books. Science-fiction, fantasy, myths and legends... I want to read everything. And I love writing too. What are our lives if not stories ? As long as my head is full of stories, I am happy.

Oh, and one day I found the cat. She's not any cat, she's my cat. Maybe she's a Loki too. That would explain why such a small being survived here.

Talking of other Lokis, you probably want to know how I met everyone ?

For the longest time I thought I was completely alone. I had never met anyone in this place, I was very well hidden in the ruins of the Kang Tower. The city was safe, mostly. The monster in the clouds didn't bother coming back here and it had left a lot of things behind. It wasn't difficult to find enough food for myself and the cat. So I never bothered leaving my burrow.

Until that day. I was back from a little expedition a few blocks away. I had cookies and a new comic book, I could call it a day. Then, I noticed something strange in the sky. The Monster was acting in an unusual way. It was like a puppy doing tricks. I had to know what was going on. So against my survival instinct, I left the city and wandered in the wasteland.

That's where I met her. The tamer of the Beast. Green magic was coming out of her hands. Not unlike my own magic. I hid behind a broken bus and looked at her for a while.

Then she spotted me.

I should have run away, but she smiled and I immediately knew she was friendly.

"Hey !" she called me "Are you lost ? It's okay, I won't hurt you. I'm Sylvie."

I thought about lying to her, but what would have been the point ? So I said the truth. I told her : "I'm Loki."

The woman - Sylvie - laughed kindly.

"I know" she said.

Then she touched her forehead and a horned crown appeared.

"Are you... me ?" I asked

It was all very confusing, but I had seen more confusing things before.

"Not exactly" she explain. "You can come with me if you want. My friends are not always the most well-behaved, but I'm sure they'll like you."

I wasn't lost anymore.

Sylvie's friends were all wearing green and horns. They were loud and always looking for drama, but I liked them. We were all Loki after all.

I think they liked me too, even the most troublesome ones.

I was good at being the annoying little sister.

I was also good at being one of the boys. I'm pretty sure I have been a boy before.

It was nice, not being alone anymore. I wouldn't sing for myself only, and sometimes they would let me ramble for a while before asking me to shut up. Sometimes we would get excited about something together. Like the time we spent playing video games with the young king. Or the parties where I would play my instruments and sing by the campfire and everyone would go silent. Those moments made me happy the most.

I used to think I was useless, but when the other ones would stop chatting and bickering to listen to my stories, I realised that maybe I had my Glorious Purpose too.

And with a smile, I thouht I was where I deserved to be.
