She tried not to peer into people’s minds without permission. But it was difficult, when thoughts were so loud. They screamed at her from every direction. The barista was worried about a cold her baby had. The couple at the table in the window, they were both wishing to be here with someone else.
But the man in the corner... his mind was unique. Wanda’s curiosity was piqued, and she probed in just a little, looking downwards as her eyes took on a red glow. She wasn’t even sure she could tap into a mind like this, delve deeper than the surface, but she found herself wanting to try.
