But new always makes me think of Loki and Gabriel and how Gabriel started our like every other angel we end up seeing and we'll isn't that fun to explore.

First Kiss

"Why exactly is this important?"

Loki sighed, exasperated, leaning forward to press his forehead against the one that matched his. "For the hundredth time," he pressed, shifting to lean back on Gabriel's lap. "If you are going to be me, this is something that will surely come up."

Gabriel's new eyes narrowed on the god seated squarely on his lap, his hands laying idly on the others thighs. "I have witnessed human coupling," he said stiffly, tilting his head as he leaned against the large tree at his back.

The god's shoulders sank as his lip curled in displeasure. "We really need to work on your speech, feathers," Loki grumbled with a shake of his head. His hand moved to cup Gabriel's cheek once more. "A problem for another time," he settled on dismissing the issue in favor of returning to their current lesson.

"What is wrong with the way I speak?"

Loki stared at him as if the archangel had suddenly caught on fire and didn't notice it. He opened his mouth before closing it with a snap and shook his head once.

"We are focusing on kissing and intimacy, not the oddity of your speech my dear fool," he said, patting his cheek before holding it more tightly and tilting his head back. "Focus. Hands on my waist and then up my spine until you reach my hair, yes? Pay attention to my lips so you can copy it and reciprocate."

Gabriel shifted at the manhandling of his new face, but did as Loki commanded. He swallowed at the feeling of fresh skin and nerve endings brushing over Loki's furs and rough leathers.

"Hold me."

Gabriel's honey eyes looked over the confident curve of Loki's lips until he met his eyes, spotting the flecks of green within them, green he knew his own eyes didn't have. His hands gripped his waist, keeping him close.

"Like this?"

Loki hummed, nodding. "You can hold me firmer, but for a mortal this would be good," he hummed, appreciating when Gabriel's hands clenched tighter around him. "Yes, like that," he rolled his hips pressing closer to him.

Gabriel moved a hand up his spine, feeling over the furs that wrapped around his shoulders. He watched as Loki leaned closer the higher his hand caressed.

"Good, close your eyes and focus," Loki said, a breath away from his lips. "Next time you will lead."

It shouldn't have ended up like this.

Eyes to eyes, intense stare, trying to find something. Something special that they had once. And now there's a wooden sword that is pressed against the solar plexus in a hand that's trembling treacherously.

It shouldn't have been like this. Children shouldn't have died for their father's cowardice and weakness.

Revenge for a revenge. A complicated mess. They never had a future. They both always ran away. But he hoped it would bring them closer, minus into minus equals to plus, but they only repeled like two magnets.

When Gabriel first came to Loki for help no one knew it would end up like this. It wasn't necessary, it just... Happened. Two runaways, they found each other and grew closer in their despair.

Revenge for Odin's death? Bullshit. But no one should know how shamefully hard pagan god fell for an archangel. And no one will ever know how hard an archangel fell for him.

There are tears in the eyes.

Gabriel still remembered an almost sweet kiss that Loki gave him before betraying him so painfully, and even hell's torture couldn't erase the lingering taste.

"I'm sorry"

There's a chaste kiss to the lips before wooden sword moves through the body.

It shouldn't have even started.
