watching LOL (2008) aka the french original of the 2012 miley cyrus remake (which wikipedia sites as a "critical failure") and it's like almost scene for scene the same!!! and then i find out it's the same director lol. which makes sense, a lot of these things make more sense in the french film cause of french culture than the american one. watching this now i see they cast certain actors to look like their french counterparts and i found that amusing. mostly tho having watched the american version so often that i know half the dialogue so i don't have to follow along as closely with the french subtitles. i am intrigued tho why the choice to keep it the same (even the soundtrack is alike).
