I'm cancelling Netflix and letting them know that it's because of their history of cancelling shows after only one or two seasons that have queer leads have poc leads and are very well received by critics and viewers alike

Also, there are two petitions out there to save The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself. I doubt Netflix will change its mind, but maybe some other network or service will pick it up!  

I’m adding a link to the one with the most traction. Please sign if you’re interested at all in an excellent, dark but fun, young adult fantasy series. It’s quite similar to Shadow & Bone, imo.

Originally I wanted the heartbeat to be more metallic sounding? But then I realized I had no idea how to do that oops. I think the normal heartbeat was a better choice anyways. The sound of pounding metal is. probably not very relaxing. (But it would have been cool)

What is it about D/s dynamics that you enjoy?

I mean... this is an interesting question and I'm trying to come up with a good answer.

I suppose I've always enjoyed what I mentally call 'caretaker' relationships, where one character is protected and cared for by another character. Yes, it's stereotypical yaoi and seme/uke but I've enjoyed this dynamic long before I even knew those words.

I like the idea of characters making the choice to take care of another and character making the choice to be taken care of because that's what they enjoy.

I enjoy characters who've chosen a relationship that focuses very strongly on their bonds and how they love each other and how they want to be everything to each other.

Obsessive characters who focus solely on one love interest and how their bond works is a strong preference of mine as well and that tends to go hand in hand with D/s.

I dunno? Frankly, I suppose I don't actually know that much about D/s dynamics besides how I read into them in these shows. Like, honestly, everything I know about this is secondhand via research and reading and listening.

So what I like about the dynamics is probably not the realistic angle, though I do try to come from there.

It's the obsession. It's the need. It's the want to own and to be owned. It's the craving to be everything to another person and for them to be everything in return. It's the wish to give in and to take over.

I hope that's an answer?
