I took Friday off work. This conversation took place as we were walking to our cars today.

Partner in crime A:"We needed you on Friday to get some tea!"

Partner in crime B:"We knew you would have asked."

Me:"So you guys just know I don't give a fuck and will ask people stuff?"

A:"YEAH. It ended up getting solved, but we figured you would have got it for us."

Me:"So what's going on?"

A:"There is drama in [department] and they were being really cryptic about it. Apparently [teammate C] and [teammate D] are threatening to leave."

Me:"Yeah I already knew that"

A and B:"OF COURSE YOU DID"

they changed my schedule so I can come in later this morning lmao guess who’s calling in

Despite how crazy work is, we still have time to enjoy the finer things in life

Such discussions include; The host's lack of sexual knowledge The server's butt hair color Mom jokes The dishwashers intelligence My talent to be a klutz (seriously I'm terrible at keeping myself from harm) The manager's job Sex (and more sex) Lots of cussing All in one day

Catfriend you would be proud of me.  A non-payment of wages complaint form is in the mail.

It wouldn’t even be such a big deal if the office manager would just take the 30 seconds to write a company-wide email the day before and say Hey everyone head’s up, payroll is going to be late this week, everyone will get paid on (x), sorry for the inconvenience

which obviously I have asked him to do

but out of the dozen+ times payroll has been late in the past year, this has happened approximately once.  that kinda stings.

LOL I got a review today at work and since I’ve been there almost 5 years and am technically a manager I thought maybe I should participate in the conversation instead of just grunting a lot and saying “yep ok”

and they were like blah blah blah we would like you to take a more active managerial role in the operation blah blah

which was great except they kept talking over me

don’t ask me for my fucking opinion if you’re not listening

because I am not emotionally invested enough in a warehouse filled with shitty old electronics to keep repeating myself

I am happy to be more manager-y and help them get organized but I feel like anything I try to implement is going to be shut down
