lolistica replied to your post: I thought I didn’t have to deal with my family...
we should have our own hermit christmas, staying all day in pyjamas and shutting the door to anyone who tries to disturb us
that would actually be so lovely right now, ughhhh. THE DOORBELL JUST WENT AND THERE ARE NOW MORE PEOPLE.
I just want to snuggle down and relax and watch films like the Life of Brian or Brazil that are funny and also pessimistic about society IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR??? we must have our hermit christmas xxxxxx

You can do it!! positive penguin vybez!!
I had a nap instead... so I would have energy to go christmas shopping!! which I was feeling anxious about and I had pains in my tummy, but I got it all done anyway!
so, er, one out of two is better than none, right?? hehe xx
[I saw these really cute penguin stickers while I was out, and they made me think of my hairy hermits!! <3]

*hugs hugs* I decided to stay depressed in the garden instead of my bed (it’s something). Go with that list!!!
that's great!! I'm proud of you! I wish the weather was nice here so I could sit in the garden - it's freezing though, heh. <3

i have the same problem, and now there’s a vortex made of stuff over my desk
well since february I've been sticking anything related to ~MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS~ into my "recovery journal" which has prevented it from accumulating, but it's also a nice way of recording things, and finding interesting ways to stick things in gets my mind to do something creative/productive. I used to do it when I was preparing my application for art college, and it was quite handy to keept track of ideas or things that interested me.
the downside is that I'm trying to be strict about what notebooks I used for what and like just now I was trying to find this small notebook I scribble down "ideas" into and I CAN'T FIND IT aaaaaaaagggghhhhh of course right when inspiration~ strikes hehe

I’ve been curious about visiting Iran since I read “Persépolis”
it's such a pity that Iran's under an autocratic regime, because it has such a rich history. then again, most of the middle east has a rich history! there's a lot of cultural diversity across Iran and Syria and into Iraq, and then you have all the arabic countries along the Gulf... I grew up in Kuwait, which is only a teeny tiny speck on the map between Saudi Arabia and Iraq, but it was a great experience, hehe.
it's heartbreaking seeing the region engulfed in so much violence and turmoil at the moment, though. Persepolis is a great book [I haven't seen the film adaptation yet]. a lot of the regimes around there have been like that, and it's like the book was an example that people in the Middle East are human beings and respond just as any other population would. I think people in the West forget that, sometimes.

*hugs hugs hugs* I know how you feel m’love, mental illness mess up with your cognitive abilities so much but try to talk with your dad anyway xxxxxxxx
I spoke to him and explained what happened... he doesn't really fully understand how it would affect my studies, but he's accepting it anyway. however I did still go to my lecture, at least! and I just got home, and emailed my lecturer asking to meet with her so that we can discuss what's happening and I can explain how my college work is being impacted xxxxx
