Hi I may not be native but saying drawing a wendigo is appropriation of a culture is how I say bullshit if we’re going by the logic of that it’s based off of racism then 99% of the drawings you do are racist because lovecraft was a racist yet you draw some of his monsters I’m from Romania so seeing vampires should piss me off but it doesn’t because it’s basically public domain the myth/legend of the wendigo is being continued if not celebrated because (1)

It is an icon of addiction and gluttony if people were racists about it they wouldn’t celebrate it or use it to scare eachother people they’d say that the natives are monsters but nope they agree that cannibalism is fucked up and decided to keep the myth alive so yeah it boils down to if drawing a wendigo is appropriation of a culture then drawing hades is an appropriation of a culture (2)

ok so!

Let’ssee who am i thinking about right now... how about Hemlock?

Hemlock is a snake person! they’re purple and are a Dungeons and Dragons character of mine. As snake people, or sneeple, are a homebrew race, they don’t really have a history beyond “they just kind of appear and no one understands why”.

Hemlock is a sorcerer who wasn’t able to use magic until they found a sparkly amulet! And then they could cast Prestidigitation and Chill Touch and stuff like that! they’re super excited that they can do these rad things and are using their new powers for good. there’s a bit of a crack in it, and their spells go awry sometimes, but they’re ok with that.

They also like cooking! As a snerson, they’re immune to poison, so this gives them access to a wider variety of ingredients than humans can. Just... ask what’s in any food before you try some. Their favorite flavor is poison hemlock, and there have been incidents in the past.
