I’m so ready to see Cole test out his acting chops in tonight’s episode. He’s always played conscientious characters, not to say he’s typecast, but regardless of who he’s portraying, they’ve always somewhat had their head screwed on.
They’ve had their bursts of rare inadmissible behaviours, they’ve shown sadness, joy, fear and pain, all irrevocably executed. But never like this. This is Jughead in a way we’ve never seen him.
Completely possessed by his investigative subject - the way his voice has changed, the difference in posture and the way he is acompletely emotionally detached from his inner self is unparalleled in what we’ve seen him do before.
I love Jughead Jones, I do. But I am so ready for this Jughead, to be able to witness what Cole can really do, outside of the norm for his character, even if it’s just for a fraction of the episode.
