“What are you doing, sunflower?” You asked, stumbling out of the office burying your head in the back of Wanda’s neck.
“I felt that you were a little hungry and tired after working most of the day, so I thought that I would make those pumpkin shaped spiced latte cookies. I have had to redo a few batches because they haven’t come out right yet. She seemed agitated and frustrated so you lifted your head and spun her to face you. “But I can’t do this anymore. Baking is stupid, I thought I was good at it but obviously not. So I’ll buy you some cookies and a cup of coffee because I gave up on making them.”
After Wanda had finished her rambling, you smiled at her. “You didn’t have to do this, although, I do love it when you’re in the kitchen and baking because it’s kind of sexy. But I guess, I’ll have to get dressed because this,” you motioned to your shirt and underwear, “is for your eyes only.”
“The same goes for you, my love.”
“You’re right, I am yours as you are mine.”
You and Wanda walked hand in hand to your favourite coffee shop, she left you to go to the counter and order whilst you found a seat for the two of you. Smiling, you quickly found a table. Pulling up your sleeves, you took a seat and waited for Wanda. Putting your head down, you pulled out your phone and tried to get a little work done without Wanda knowing but she always did. She usually heard your voice in her head when she was home with you.
The chair adjacent to you scraped across the floor, too heavy to be Wanda but you ignored it, hoping it was someone taking one of the seats to another table but the presence lingered, lingered a little too long for your liking.
“Excuse me, someone was actually going to sit there.” You said politely, hoping that the creep would get the message and take a hike - in the other direction away from you and Wanda when she came back.
“Well, I guess for now, someone will have to wait because I'm here now. The man you’ve been waiting your whole life for.” The creepy guy said, his hand falling to his side but climbing up your leg to your thigh.
“Do you mind? Your hand is on me.” He didn’t say anything, his fingers still stroking over your skin, making it crawl as a shiver ran up and down your spine, cold fingers travelling the length of it.. ‘Wanda, you better hurry your cute little ass up because this dude is getting on my last nerve.’ “Your hand is still on my knee.”
“I could move it up?” He winks, punctuating his words with his hand still travelling so he was almost fingertips away from your groin.
“Or you could get it, the hell off of my girlfriend?” Wanda didn’t have to shout, not when there was a sense of danger surrounding her.
“Listen lady, you don’t have to pretend to be lesbian to save this hottie. Beat it. Get outta here.” The guy continued obviously not getting the message from the both of you. But what he said was crossing all of the lines.
Before Wanda revealed who she was, she made sure that none of the other patrons in the cafe would be able to see what she would do if things went south, Wanda didn’t want another Lagos incident. Her eyes were on the verge of glowing as a static power ran through her fingers, you jumped up and held her hands in yours to try to calm her.
His hand left your thigh but it moved to squeeze your behind, that was the final straw. You whacked your arm behind you grabbing his wrist and pulling him up from his seat.
You took his surprise to your advantage and spun him around, his arm twisting behind his back as you almost tore it out of its socket. “Don’t you dare assume that I am yours to touch. You put yourself on a pedestal and think you are god’s gift to women when in reality you are nothing but a leach who takes joy in making women uncomfortable. Not today. Not ever again.” You closed your eyes and whispered the words, “a little birdy told me you will have respect for everyone you come into contact with.”
“Y/N.” Wanda said lowly, breaking you out of the fuzz within your head.
Letting the creep go, you pushed at his back, your eyes trailing his every move out of the coffee shop and you let out a breath you didn’t realise you were holding. Your breathing quickened. You couldn’t be in there anymore. You hadn’t known what had come over you but it happened, maybe it was just adrenaline that pulsed through you but you had never felt anything like it.
“We have to go home right now.” Wanda said, licking her lips, she brought the tray to the counter and asked for it to be taken away.
You were in for a treat. Wanda’s eyes glowed her infamous red colour. Your red sunflower was turned on by your act of bravery against the creep and how you handled him. With the way you had surprised him - handled him - you could only hope that he wouldn’t do anything to harass any other human being ever again.
Wanda had no idea that you had a dominant side and now that she’d had a taste of it, she wanted to see more because it did nothing but make her lower abdomen tingle with a feeling she hadn’t felt before, well she had but this was different. It just felt different. She would do anything to feel it again.
