hey so, some time ago I found a piece of Samus art showing her reacting with despair to a 23andMe letter showing that she's got British heritage, and the art style heavily resembles yours, but I can't find it in your Samus or Metroid tags on your blog, and there's no signature on the art, anyway does that at all sound familiar to you?

You ever wonder if Samus has ever been approached by folks to either have a book or movie written about her life? Like she spends some time in a Federation-controlled quadrant of space and suddenly some Hollywood sleazeball come out of the woodwork with a movie deal and it doesn't immediately register for her that the bullshit she gets up to would be like... summer blockbuster material? Also, that's her extremely traumatic life story?? Who wants to watch that???

(It turns out a lot of people would absolutely watch that and have Totally Normal™ Thoughts and Feelings about it.)

I imagine being around other Smashers from Super Smash Bros. does wonders for Samus' self-esteem and emotional well-being. Not in a sarcastic "haha we're comparing traumas wheeee" kind of way, but because SO DANG MANY Smashers are so very insightful, compassionate, and caring in their own ways and would want to see her have some measure of peace and help her heal.

The Smash Crew (with the obvious exception of fucking Ridley and probably Dark Samus too I dunno) is Ride or Die for Samus Aran and they will not hesitate to remind her at every given opportunity.

from time to time i draw random feminine-coded aliens for the specific purpose of flirting with samus but they all dont have any particular backstory. we can make one up right now she’s a travel nurse that hops planets every couple of years

in my art i don't have that interpretation (i don't wanna take credit for that when its not my intention while drawing). i'm chill w the headcanon tho and feel very touched when trans people relate to my sammies in some way
