See canonically in criminal minds spencer listens to classical music and his music taste isn't really discussed to be more than that (apart from my guy bob dylan) BUT he knows of siouxsie and the banshees and metallica!!! We are underestimating this man's potential music taste as a fandom!! Like the producers obviously wanted to make him into the stereotypical nerd who religiously listens to classical but I promise there is more to this man than that!! In my mind I imagine collage age/early seasons spencer loving : the postal service, death cab for cutie, the Shins, Modest Mouse etc. Emo sad pathetic indie rock for an emo sad pathetic pretty boy!! You can't tell me this man hadn't brought Give Up by The Postal Service or not listened to AFYCSO when it came out!!
AND let's not forget singer/songwriters like Leonard Cohen!! Spencer would 100% listen to him! He's confirmed a Bob Dylan fan did we forget that!! Meaning yess in my mind he likes a bit of Springsteen, Simon & Garfunkle, Neil Young too!!
Side note he would ADORE 'the race for space' album by public service broadcasting someone get him to listen to it rn rn!!
