genuinely don’t know how people can say chloe and oliver (chlollie) came outta nowhere? are you kidding me like, were we watching the same show? their first meeting! the foreshadowing like! ollie talking about the future and then chloe literally walks in. how does one watch season eight and not see the flirty asf behaviour between them? i swear they had more scenes together than chloe and jimmy did, and they were married! chloe joining the team as watchtower full-time, “this is where i belong” you can’t tell me you didn’t notice the eye-fooking! and that scene where oliver and chloe talk in the talon, “when did you become one of the bad guys?” he’s like so sad and disappointed in her…because their friends? ollie literally killed lex so why would he react like that about her hiding davis? oliver has so much respect for chloe, more than clark level high, it’s so obvious. that scene reads so much deeper if you ask me.

oh, in the finale when the team finds davis and chloe, and davis is transforming into doomsday, oliver doesn’t hesitate at all before literally forcing chloe away from davis and standing in front of her to protect her. imho ollie was wrecked at jimmy’s death not just because he liked jimmy (as a friend) but oliver felt like he failed chloe.

If I had a nickel for every time a blonde tech girl who wasn't in the orginal comics wound up a love interest for Oliver Queen in a CW show I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

The bachelor party footage is one of the funniest scenes in Smallville. Drunk Clark is the best thing ever!

Clark setting things on fire with his eyes because Lois is cold. Clark calling Lois the love of his life. "I am really feeling this." Oliver and Tess doing Clark impressions 💀 "Are you really made of steel??" Oliver and Clark arguing about wedding rings in the bathroom - well, Oliver was the only one arguing, Clark was there for the vibes. Clark stealing the whole Luthorcorp sign 🤣 Lois dragging him back to his seat because he is sooo embarrassed of his drunk antics. "MonKeyyy." "MoNkEeY?" And then he steals a truck, fights crime and adopts a Lemur. Tess and Emil porn 🙈

The whole scene reminded me of Carter/Hawkman telling Chloe that Watchtower needed to be more than a workplace for superheroes. It needed to be a place they can be a family together and have fun. And now it is.

Characters and Ships

As it was mentioned in our FAQ posts, shipping is allowed in the zine, so it is time to expand on the subject.

For our zine we stick to the rule: “If a character wasn’t shown clearly dying on the screen, or there is no prove of them being actually dead, they may be considered to still be alive.”

So such characters as Morgan Edge (mentioned to be missing in a Daily Planet’s article in Season 8, though twice said to be dead and never actually shown to be turned into the person trying to kill Lex and Clark in Episode 8 Season 3 (Shattered) via plastic surgery, after being presumed dead in Episode 2 Season 3 (Phoenix).) or Tess Mercer (Lutessa Luthor) (who was never shown after supposedly dying in Lex’s arms after being stabbed and drawing her last breath, considering Lex still could have called ER, especially after his memories were whipped) can be safely optimistically called still alive.

(Remember Greg Arkin (The Bug Boy) who seems to have died in Episode 2 Season 1 (Metamorphosis) and appeared alive and well in Episode 4 Season 10 (Homecoming)? That’s the same situation here.)

And we can also allow the possibility of Lionel Luthor being still among the living, because as Jor-El’s emissary and vessel he isn’t lacking importance and could have been resurrected by the kryptonian AI or put into altered state of existence, a stage of suspended animation right after the fall and then healed enough to recover, because his dead body wasn’t shown in the casket and there was no proof provided of it being not the case.

Everything depends on your vision.

In Flashbacks and mentions only:

Jonathan Kent (May appear as an AI version of himself in the Fortress of Solitude.); Whitney Fordman; Jimmy Olsen; Dr. Virgil Swann; Dr. Brigette Crosby; Ryan James; etc.

Characters, who appeared in Smallville Season 11 comic books are also allowed to be a part of the zine (Bruce Wayne/Batman, Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, etc.).

Earth-2/Mirrorverse counterparts of characters’s life depictions in 15 years in our time are also welcome (Clark Luthor, Lois Queen, Jonathan Kent (-2), Martha Clark (Kent before divorce), etc.).

Once again we establish that all relationships between the characters should be depicted in the works in the zine as being more on platonic side.

No ships between family members are allowed.

(Note: If you write a piece sticking to Mionel, Clex is not allowed in it and vice versa, etc.)
