If I Had a Lifetime

This is a poem I wrote two years ago. I was feeling pretty nostalgic today since it’s also been two years since I moved, so I figured I’d share this with you all.

If I had a lifetime,

you'd be the girl next door, and I the new kid on the block. We'd grow to be good friends, meet by the pond and skip rocks.

We'd have each other's backs, right now, and back then. We'd share secrets and candy, tell jokes, and exchange grins.

We'd sit next to each other on the bus, or even take a walk. Countless hours in the day, where we'd do nothing but talk.

High school would come around, both your enemy and my own. But we would still stay together, and we'd never be alone.

I would fall for you, and you'd find some charm. In my struggles to get your attention, which may strain me but would not harm.

Music would play, and we would dance through the night. You'd be the the only girl in the room, if only in my eyes.

I'd support you in your dreams, and you would support me in mine. We'd face the world together, and together we'd be fine.

The time would come around, that'd I'd work up the nerve. And get down on my knee, and be the man that you deserve.

We might struggle in early years, with little figured out. But we'd always have each other, there would never be a doubt.

And when we were ready, we'd have children of our own. The pitter patter of little feet, running all around our home.

As they would age, so would we, fading into gray. They'd go on to do as we had, they would grow and drift away.

You'd still retain your beauty, as with you, Time has been kind. It has not been as so for me, but with you to hold, I wouldn’t mind.

Together forever, that's what we would be. We've come a long way, since eternity.

But as all things end, so would we. We'd hold each other close, and greet Death with ease.

Our love would yet remain, even if we did not. And the times that we shared, would not be forgot'.

However, we did not have a lifetime, you weren't the girl next door. We grew up and lived different lives, than those we lived before.

Yet our lives still crossed again, if not at a later time. And my hand remains yours to hold, even if yours is not yet mine.

seriously though, it is the plan. I’ve been analyzing trends among blood castes, symbols, etc. I got some theories on culture and castes, lusii, but I’m gonna try to make as much of it as factual as possible.

SO THIS HAPPENED

In an Ava’s Demon livestream, I spit-balled an idea that makes a lot of sense and got everyone excited:

Wrathia’s race come out of their eggs fully developed, and capable of fighting. They’re a warlike race, and as such, they don’t have time to worry about young that can’t hold their own in battle.

That’s why it takes 20 years.

THAT’s why Wrathia expected so much out of Ava when she was born.

It was what her culture was like, and as such, what she expected.
