nic i noticed your tags about different reactions to writing angst between kara vs lena's, is it that ppl don't see kara as a tragic character? (personally i think she has so much that could be unpacked, just differently from lena)

i think to a large extent the fandom favours lena, which isn't a bad thing. i love lena! who doesn't love lena? it just gets messy when people start to forget that characters are allowed to make bad decisions/mistakes.

i remember back when s5 was still airing, the hate for kara was at its peak. it was soooo bad. like i was already in war with the sg makeup/wardrobe department + kara's bangs, i didn't need to see the kara vs lena discourse added to the plate 😤

anon when you say people don't see kara as a tragic character - i think there's some truth to that. there's also just not overall caring about kara at all. which is okay & chill. tbh i don't blame people for not liking cwsg's kara! for the main star of the show, the quality of writing put in her was absolutely bonkers bro.

there's also another anon that made some points & they are so right!!!

so when two characters deal with conflict, bias comes into play. it's black & white & someone has to be the bad guy. i just think some people forget that conflicts can happen among people who really care about each other (kara & lena!!) & no one is a good guy or a bad guy. there’s no need to tear one down to prop up the other, it’s okay to accept that they’ve both done some unchill stuff. they're just struggling & hurting each other because of their own pain. anyways supercorp endgame

Marvel really cooked with nat’s and Clint’s successors like. The two of them have been my favourites since the beginning and it breaks my heart to see them go (or watch Clint finally get to retire—that poor man) Yelena and Kate are genuinely the perfect characters in terms of succeeding those before them. Like there isn’t a single thing you could pick out that’s bad/not good. I don’t know who planned this but they need a pat on the head because oh LORD

My two favourite characters are gone (amongst others RIP Coulson) and I’ve been treated to having two of the coolest modern MCU characters as ‘replacements’ PLUS their origin stories being some of my all time favourite MCU projects??? I feel like my little corner of the fandom is being treated the absolute best and it’s literally just me and the padded white walls

my fav way for malec to first say i love u: alec asks raphael to teach him to say it in indonesian (bc i feel like if he and magnus have been buds for hundreds of years theyvre probably taught each other their native languages is this canon?) but raphael convinces him to do this whole big long speech about all the ways he loves him but its just a bunch of dirty talk and alec like takes magnus on this super romantic date, candlelit dinner, walking along the water etc and finally he takes magnus’s hands and looks deep into his eyes and hes incredibly serious and he says ‘theres something i  have to tell u….’ and just lets it rip and magnus is. taken aback. and alecs like ‘well i know my accents not very good yet but’ and magnus is like ‘ok i have. so many questions’ but eventually they work it out and theyre just about to kiss when magnus whispers aku cintu kamu and alec asks him what that means and magnus just smiles and kisses him and then alec smiles and says it back

i tried 2 make brownies today but we didnt have eggs so i read online u could use yogurt as a substitute and the taste came out fine but i used too much vegetable oil or something (u were supposed to use less than with eggs but i already had it poured) and they were visibly and audibly bubbling when i took them out and the middle wasnt cooked through so i put it back in and by the time the middle was done the edges were basically burned to a crisp tldr dont use yogurt to make brownies

the only bit that can’t be drawn with dramatic curves is her bright ginger hair, which is p straight (sans the braided bits)
