Natasha was well into her first month at AO and she had met a couple of people, made some friends (if you really want to call them that) and felt somewhat comfortable with the environment. There was still plenty to learn but with her training, adapting wouldn’t be too difficult. She had wanted to go into town for some time now and after finishing a load of laundry, she decided to go out an explore. First stop? For the Record. She didn’t have a record player here but back in the Red Room she did and she missed it, missed dancing to the only music she was allowed to listen to.
Already, she had been exposed to the music she had missed out on. Turns out, it was a lot. Hip Hop, Rock, Punk, Alternative, House, Thrash, Ska, Jazz, Latin Jazz...it was so much to absorb but she was determined to learn it all. Maybe it would help her figure out why some people her age behaved the way they did. That was still a mystery to her still but human nature always was. Concentrating on titles as she thumbed through the records in the 80′s genre, she smiled, stopping at Tears for Fears, pulling the record and reading off the commentary on the back. She had learned that this was her favorite part. It wasn’t until she heard someone behind her that she turned around and held the record close to her chest. “The 80′s were underrated, hm?” Nat offered them a small smile hoping she was getting better at engaging in conversation.
