I started making this longantree fanart and then got hit with the idea of what if Longan ends up floating down a river that connects to Millie's forest and he discovers longan has amnesia ✨

Longan Dragon doesn't remember anything from the current events on earthbread, their last memory is from watching over the world still with plenty of dragons and when their boyfriend was the voice in the wind of a magical tree, not a tangible being with a body they can hold and touch. It's a weird experience.

Millennial Tree knows that the right thing to do is help Longan to get their memories back, and that they would be heartbroken if Millie leaves them in the dark about all the memories they are missing, but at the same time the world is still recovering from the consequences of Longan's actions during the war, and as it's guardian he has to see what's best for everybody, sometimes that means not getting involved into the course of things happening around him, and if he helps Longan to recover their memories right now...

It surely won't be good.

Maybe he doesn't have to cross that bridge right off the bat, maybe he can think of a way to solve that later, right now he is more concerned about taking care of Longan and their health after such an intense battle.

Even if this happiness is not fated to last long, he will try his best so the outcome of this is not that terrible, for both the cookie kind and for his beloved dragon. He believes in second chances and he won't abandon anyone that he can help.
