Thao says growing up in a Vietnamese household in America allowed her to explore her artistic side, but it wasn't until a challenging time in her late 20s that she really turned to art as a tool for healing. While Thao now uses her art to reconnect with her cultural roots, she says she also loves painting flowers. "Whenever I’m in a new city I want to give back somehow and I feel the best way to do that is by painting flowers" she told Long Beach Post, and after each mural installation she leaves free flowers for the community. This floral installation was created at the Burnett Library for the 2022 edition of Long Beach Walls.
