To those of you who think they know me they may find this photo and what I'm going to say as surprising...the acidic, cold smart mouthed tyrant that I seem to be. Then there are those that truly know me, to this group this would hardly be a surprise. Finally to those who don't know me....well you probably don't care but while I won't request that you send me positive thoughts and affirmations I do request you refrain from criticism and negativity. I've really built up suspense here but then again if you've seen the photo probably not... I hate how I look. At my age there is no reason for me to look as I do, to get winded going up a flight of stairs, to be in constant discomfort. Starting today I am working on myself every 17 days I will post again whether habe improved or not. Not because I think any of you want to know (I'm not THAT narcissistic) but to put the pressure on myself. The day that @demarcuspaul @mikemastroni and myself met up at this school there was no session planned. DeMarcus had one clip in mind and needed to get it done. My mission was simple, be ready and don't miss it when it happens. A million things could go wrong but everything has to go right for it to happen. The school is a bust, we had to climb in and Dmo has to prep on a roof, the set up is sketchy and the fence is definitely in the way. The first time he tried it he nearly stomped it perfect but put down one foot at the last second to roll alway otherwise dialed.... He had to climb back up and mentally prepare himself to do something sketchy has hell, again. I can't remember how long it was until he was ready to send it again, maybe ten or fifteen minutes? As he half cabbed off the roof his rear tire rolled off the edge or the roof but provided just provided enough pop to clear the gap, stomp the half cab, and roll away with a victory!! The school was silent as Demo rolled away, there was no one there but Mike and I. We checked the footage, breathed a huge sigh of relief and success for our friend and snuck back out of the school with no one knowing what had just gone down. Good memories. A couple months ago I was sound asleep on a Saturday morning when I heard the door to my room open and then whisperwhisperwhisper followed by two sets of footsteps running across the floor and stopping right next to my bed. Next thing I know David and Claire say, 'Wake up Aunt Tee! It's a stay home day so we put on costumes!' and I opened my eyes to this. Ha! Fast forward couple months and I walked past a sign the other day that felt that it was written just for me. It said, 'you can have more than one home. You can carry your roots with you and decide where they grow'. All that to say, I'm grateful to have roots with Captain America and Carebear, and I'm grateful to be putting down new roots here. #longestcaptionever #imexhausted

This^ 💕🇬🇧 Can't lie, my heart isn't as full of optimism as it was the last time I threw on a pair of sneakers to protest a year ago. And I'm even further from the college kid I was in Chicago, protesting for fair wages a decade ago. Our emotions have been knocked around so much witnessing death and seeing case after case go unresolved. As a kid the idea that maintaining optimism would be the hardest part of adulthood was unheard of. But somewhere between #SandraBland's murder and seeing no justice for #TamirRice my hope just dissolved🚮. But through the numbness I've grown to accept that the change I know we're capable of will never be something I see and fully experience. And I have to accept that. Many of us do. We (this era) are simply a part of the process; a low rung on a high ladder. It is our responsibility thus burden to bubble over and feel enraged and muster up the strength and the drive needed to continue moving the world forward for generations to come. And when I see this many people rallying for Black lives in #London it reminds me that we aren't alone and that's so important. This problem is vast and deep with roots that span far beyond Baton Rouge, Cleveland, Chicago, Baltimore, New York. Thankful for seeing this video. This is an early Winter Soldier costume that I have really mixed feelings about. That scene was very upsetting - a big part of my doing this was to make it less scary for me. I still have nightmares about the scenes where they shock him and what makes it worse is the staggering number of fan artworks that depict Bucky in pain, being tortured or worse. I left the entire Marvel side of Tumblr because of it. I love the character and Sebastian Stan's portrayal of him. Horrific things have happened to him, but it is his resilience to it all that makes me admire him so much. So while I did like that this costume shows how I add the scars and what I call the underarm plate on all of my Winter Soldier arms. You probably won't see me bring this out again though .
