#LongLiveSleeper As a human vessel that values his earthly support, I feel as if I owe everyone an explanation as to why I had/have every intention for running for Lieutenant Governor, but didn't completely follow through with my write-in campaign... I had the life sucked out of me on June 6th, 2021 when @legacyofsleeper was murdered. We had talked the night before, and we're set to shoot the following week. 💔 You see my campaign was set to be like no other. We are in the digital era, constantly ramming ads down your throat isn't my speed. So we were going to put a series of short films together, of me doing what we do daily... Helping people. We felt as if campaigns shouldn't be forced, and slinging mud was never optional. God knows you are not supposed to hold hate in your heart, but the individual who took my friend off this earth, did more damage to this world than they could ever imagine. #LongLiveSleeper @legacyofsleeper They caught the "people" who killed my dawg... The look on their faces says they care nothing about the pain they have caused his #family, and myself. I would like to say I'm happy, but I'm not... I wanted to play the role of "#Karma", but then again I would have only been taking part in tearing down my community just like they did. Instead, #BLM757 will start a gun violence initiative in the name of my dawg Bryant "Sleeper" Bowman. We will teach these youth that there are other ways to resolve differences, that don't involve violence, such as #dancing, #drumming and #cinematography. Rest well my boy. I always say the best day of your life, could be the worse day for someone else. Tell people you love them EVERY DAY. Yesterday we were enjoying a beautiful community day. I was on the phone with Earl when Gambino beeped in. Bino: What happened to your manz? Me: Who? Bino: Sleeper, I saw the wal-mart on Mercury taped off |( As David is walking up, bumping forearms with me) Me: Nah yo it can't be him, I don't even think he is in town, and I was just talking to him yesterday. Bino: You sure? Someone dropped his picture in a group chat saying RIP. Me: Nah yo, I literally just talked to him yesterday. But let me try to find out. (As a supporter approaches to get a shirt) Bino: Aight B, let me know something. *hangs up* *Earl still on the line* As I tend to the supporter. Me: *Trying not to lose my mind in front of this supporter, so I can get away and make a few phone calls to confirm or deny* - Supporter leave and I make a beeline to the car. Me: Earl, I have to call you back, one of my best friends may have just got murdered. Earl: Ok. *Click* *Calls Sleeper, Phone goes to voice mail* Me: "No" - *Calls right back, phone goes straight to voicemail* Me: No, no, no, NO! - *Click @LegacyOfSleeper on Instagram* - Checks comments from his last post.... The unthinkable was confirmed. My friend was murdered in South Carolina not long after we talked, shot multiple times, and left behind a car. 💔 One of the best days of my life turned into the worse in just the blink of an eye.
