It’s all the rage. But what is a top extender?
Top Extender, Dress Extender, Extended Tank Slip, Tank Extender... it’s all the same thing. Some are for dresses, some are for tops/blouses. We have all had our moments when we desperately needed some length to our shirt/dress to look appropriate/classy. You know, That shirt that fits you so well but is just too short for leggings. Or the T-shirt you are just dying to wear because you want to be comfortable, but you want to “look” as if you didn’t try to get ready....so you end up spending 30 minutes getting ready to look as if you did not get ready, Rummaging through your closet and drawers looking for the “perfect” lazy yet not so lazy shirt and legging/pant pair. It’s in these moments that I have recently found the beauty in an extender.( I try everything before I sale it. )
You see, I want to purchase from a store that has items and merchandise that are actually practical, fit well, look great, and are AFFORDABLE. I’ve realized there aren’t too many stores with this concept...so I’ve created one. I’m a new mom, working, in school full time, with a husband enrolling Grad school(2015). I don’t have the money to buy outfits for every season and my every shape and size. After having a child, I lost 40 pounds miraculously after giving birth, then I gained ten, then I lost five, then I gained two, etc. The top extender is AWESOME. I can finally run errands with my T-shirt on and look like I got ready. I can wear my yoga pants and leggings with my pre pregnancy shirt and not have my butt hanging out or exposed. It’s great.
I HIGHLY reccommend getting one if you struggle with any of these issues I face DAILY. I will say this, Because top extenders fit over your hips, you will need to go up a size...unless your small framed/teenager with small hips. The lace trim on most of the extenders do not stretch, so I’ve had a few friends that typically wear mediums, need an XL. (Bigger Hips) I personally wear a Medium and needed a Large.
