Kruger National Park South Africa 🇿🇦 Long winged kite spider. Not everyday you get to see the little creatures in the wild. We were driving along a dusty road when we spotted a lion crossing long way ahead so accelerated to the spot where it had crossed. We pulled over and scanned the thick bush. No luck, it had disappeared. We relaxed our eyes and sat talking for a while until someone spotted this beautiful little spider desperately trying to spin a web across the windscreen. Looked like a hermit crab in an oversized shell. Whilst we were watching the web construction a huge bull elephant emerged from the bush right in front of the car. It startled us all. Sometimes if you are patient nature will reward you with unexpected gifts.
