I was a little turned off of T’Pol at first, but she’s starting to grow on me. The rest of the cast is A+ so far!
Hi hi hi! Dropping a little headcanon here: I think TOS!McCoy hates his dress uniform because he's been told too many times that it brings out the blue of his eyes beautifully. AOS!McCoy loves his dress uniform because he gets a hat to go with it, and he thinks hats make him look better. Hehehehehe.
TOS McCoy totally hates the dress uniform. First of all, it’s shiny, and shiny is meant for cotillion dresses and debuts and other southern traditions he endured as a young man. And so help him, if he hears another person compliment his beautiful eyes like there’s nothing else to focus on, he’ll find an old scalpel and cut them. It’s enough to make him challenge the command exam and request his own ship so he can wear gold.
AOS McCoy loves the dress uniform because it brings out his eyes. He’s lived years with hazel eyes that sort of just... blend in. But those dress greys really manage to highlight the shades of green and brown in his eyes. He also likes the way it makes him look taller, not that he needs the help. The hat is a nice touch. Completes the look. Not that he’d ever admit to being fashion conscious to anyone.
Imagine being Chekov's date to his very first promotion ceremony! How cute and nervous would he be introducing you to his crewmates?!? Then after a celebratory dinner, it's blanket burrito time....
I’m so much older than him that it’s bound to raise questions... Why am I going with him? Is it because he needed a date and had no one else he trusted? Am I that special ‘older sister’ type (NOT going to say ‘mom type’)? Is he doing it because he thinks I’d be perfect for one of the older crew members (hopeful!!! Bones or Jim)?
