A young Alphinaud of the age of six rushes into his sister's room, the sound of thunderous booms sounding throughout the manor. It was a bell from midnight and the boy was clinging to a carbuncle plush as he climbed up into his twin's bed without preamble. "Ali," he began, sniffling. "Can I stay with you tonight?"

     Alisaie was sleeping right through the storm. Such things didn’t bother her one bit. The sound of rain was quite relaxing. As his climbing shifted her around, she rolled herself to sitting, rubbed her eyes and looked around.

     “Why?” she questioned groggily. She didn’t mind, but she always wanted to know why. The answer came with a flash of lightning. She caught a glimpse of his teary cheeks and she knew. “Oh. That again.” With a sigh, she laid back down. “Do you need me awake?”

"If you had not, the storm may have anyway." She watched him with mild amusement. Why was he so jittery? The way he looked about seemed more like he was looking for something than expecting more lightning. "What is it?" She asked. "What are you looking at?" Alisaie joined his search for...whatever it was. Nothing seemed out of place. He was so weird sometimes.
