Soul Shepard

The sound of the lightning storm over the Blasted Lands seemed dim to hooded figure, high on horseback. He was trapped in his own mind, as he had been for so long now. So long now. His vision flashed white as a bolt of lightning cracked just meters from him, effectively snapping him back to reality. His horse bucked from the rush of fear. The figure put his hand on the mane of the mare, whispering into it’s ear. The steed seemed to slow, until it was back to walking as it had been.

“So you think this will be the final stop?” The child asked.

The cloaked figure turned his head slightly over his shoulder. A dark black beard peaked out from under the deep hood. “Perhaps. It’s been a long time. I think we’ve done much, or do you disagree?”

The child, whose clothes seemed as clean as the day they were bought, dangled his feet over the side of the horse. “Let me consult the books here.” The boy reached into a saddle bag and took out a thin leather book. “We’re at...six-hundred and twenty one. I’d say that’s not bad, though I don’t think we have anything to compare it to.”

The adult figure kept silent for a while. A dark wood staff was strapped to the side of the horse slapped gently against the flesh with every step. “A drop in the bucket.” He mumbled

They continued on, though the barren wasteland until they got to a southern swamp. Twisting through the gnarled roots and stagnant waterways, they came upon a mountainous pass. “Get off.” the adult said flatly to the child. “We’re walking on foot from here, Gunther. Hito will be fine right here.”

They made it through the craggy pass, a bitter cold wind buffeting them on the other side. Upon the highest point of the pass they looked out to their destination, and the man finally let his hood down. The pass drifted downwards into what was once a lush green valley, and beyond a city that he once called home. Crumbled. It was the first time in a long time Gerald gazed upon Easterly. The Ruins of Easterly.

The continued on a little more before coming to a wide part of the path. Gerald held out a hand and felt the arcane disturbance he hoped to see. Naked to the eye, the portal of Viridia was still here and intact. He wondered if anyone had used it. Were they all still there? He was tempted to see, but retracted his hand. No, he was a coward, and that is how he left them. The hair on the back of his neck grew tall and he turned his head to see behind him. There stood a spectral form of an elven man in leathers.

“Gerald Creed. I cannot permit you to pass into Easterly at this time.”

Gerald took a step towards him, “You do not understand.” He looked over the elf. “I have come to free them, all of them.”

The elf stood his ground, unmoved. “I do not expect you to understand.”

Gerald clenched his fist. “I know your kind. Woodland watchers, outriders. You were supposed to stop stuff like this from happening in the first place. I’ve waited so long for this. Stand aside. You will thank me when it’s all over.”

“A noble cause. The right thing to do, to someone who cannot see past the veil. I guard this land, along with my brothers, specifically from you, Creed. Will you listen?”

Gerald had grown used to the spirits talking in riddles and being long-winded. This was something he had been thinking about for over a year now, and this spirit better have a good reason for him to reconsider. He waved his hand, “I will listen, for now.”

“Six-hundred and twenty one souls saved. Six-hundred and twenty one birds fly into the heavens. You send them into a fate worse than you know. A deal has been struck. The souls, devoured and trapped within the beast. Stop your crusade now, Gerald. Go back to your people, for the time will come to right the wrong, if you will fly the same path as those you freed. Only when the mouth of the beast is closed will we permit the souls here to find a permanent rest.”

Gerald stood, mouth pursed into a scowl. How could he believe what he was hearing? “If I am interpreting your half-baked monologue correctly...the souls I have worked a year and half to save have instead been damned? By whom? For what purpose?”

The spirit gave one deep nod, but no answers. “Go now, back to your people. Leave the souls here to stay. If you act against this, you will fall by my brother’s and sisters’ blades. It will be your soul damned for an eternity. Deserved or not.”

The spirit faded as quickly as it appeared, leaving Gerald and Gunther on the cliff overlooking Easterly. Hours went by as Gerald considered the words given to him. He looked to the shimmering air that was the portal to Viridia. It seemed to tempt him. 

Go now, back to your people...

Gerald shook his head, stood and started to walk back down the path. “Come, Gunther. We will return here when I can interpret his words better.”

“We rode all the way out here just to head back? Are you kidding me?”

Gerald turned back, “Come or stay, I need to seek my answers among the people. For the first time in a while, we must make haste for Stormwind.”

> Looking for a Guild.

As the title states, I am finally ready to look for a permanent guild for Loala. 

What I’m looking for:

Something in game. I love discord RP but I am looking for something that I can look forward to being back in game for. IC channels/a server is a plus but ultimately the focus shouldn’t be there. 

Somewhere a noble (specifically, a Duchess) would fit. 

Activity. The amount of events don’t really matter so much as long as people are around ICly to write with fairly often. 

What Loala can offer:

Trade. Fairhavens biggest trades are lumber and medicine (healers, supplies, etc), but they have others too that can be offered to the right group. 

Contacts. Loala is either allied, friends with, and/or known by several other nobles, traders, and even criminals. 

Magic. She’s a skilled pyromancer, trained both in Dalaran and in Ambermill. 

Advice. She knows a great deal about what she does and has worked for few people, both noble and not, as an adviser. 

Her Experience: 

Head of House Addington. 

Duchess of Fairhaven. 

Founder of Addington Infirmary. 

Former Proprietor for the Red Shield.

Former Regent of Northhaven. 

Former High Magus of the House of Nobles. 

Former Treasurer for the Alliance Defense Council/Coalition.

She fought on the Broken Shore. 

She’s held many events for the community, namely First to Your Aid and King Varian’s funeral. 

She’s a well established character I’ve written for two years now, with a rich backstory both created before I made her and up until now through RP. I love coming up with stories, running events, and most all kinds of RP!

I just got a new job so my availability is up in the air but it looks like I will be working evenings. I’m typically a late night person, too! (But this could all change once I find out my more permanent schedule)

Troll or Troll Themed Guilds on WRA?

Putting this out there in case anyone who follows me plays on Wyrmrest Accord.  I just moved a character to the server to casually poke around when I can, and I’d like to find a friendly guild that’s either a Troll guild, or Troll populated.  If anyone out there knows any guilds that might be a good fit for me, please send me a message, thanks!

Guild hunt Star Forge

Ok if those four words made sense to you :D I am looking for a Rep side guild for a jedi on Star forge server. I have imp side there too but no guild. Anyhow she’s all ready for me to work with her to earn enough to get satele shan’s boots (lol) so I am going to be playing her when i can.  Bonus if you have a rep and imp side guild; also... it needs to be one who does not kick me if Im not on all the time.

Heya guys!

I’m looking for a guild! I want to get back into GW2 and I’m looking for people to do that with. I’d be happy to have some friends to play with. :) I play on european servers. I hope someone has a place in their guild for me. :D

So I have my computer setup and my WoW account going again but I log on and realize that...well honestly...I don’t really have any friends in game anymore.

My guilds have all shut down and what friends are still on my list have all moved on and I feel like to poke them to do things with me has become a bother.

So here I am asking if any of you know any nice and lax RP/PvE guilds around?

My gear is a bit behind but with all of my characters besides Nala my stories are open and able to meld to any sort of situation or need a guild may have for IC purposes. I’m still unsure of how active I’ll be in the coming weeks but I really could use a home.

Message me with ideas? Suggestions?
