hi! do you have thrift shopping advice/does anyone know of good thrift stores in the LA area? i really wanna expand my wardrobe for summer (especially with 80s/90s inspired pieces) but i don't know where to start! thanks :)

No Clue, @lafemmesofcolor might be able to help you! I am not a fashionista or thrift shopper at all . Maybe one of the other Mods can help you, although non of us are from LA though.

The hype over MCR right now has completely rejuvinated both myself and my shitty emo killjoy days I still remember me and 3 other friends planning this huge, like, fanfic about it with all of us as killjoys and I don’t remember everyone’s names but I remember one of them was Trigger Happy and I think I went with something along the lines of Galactic Ace or some shit like that, like I think that’s how that name originated for me, and I’m so fucked up over what’s going on with them and it’s brought back so many good memories

both of them are. i think in a twin AU if only one twin dies, during those two years before their return the surviving shep either (A) gets even closer to the crew or (B) is driven away from the crew, both because of how much they remind shep of their twin. i think it would also be weird after lazarus because all of a sudden, surviving shep is arguably 2 years older and now the older sibling

Ah true. I haven’t thought about that. And they would grieve their twin, which would mean those two years would age them more than a lot of things they could experience. The Shepard who comes back might find the twin they knew is gone. That’s fascinating. 

I think the surviving twin would get closer to the crew (mostly because I can’t imagine Garrus and co turning away the only Shepard left) but with the Normandy destroyed and the Alliance still deciding who is assigned where, I think they wouldn’t be able to stay together. 

I wonder if the surviving twin will be mad at Joker. I assume in the scenario the other twin wouldn’t leave until Joker is saved? Oh man :/

for my AU, mshep was posted on eden prime with ashley and then reunited with femshep. then femshep gets hit with the beacon and mshep joins the normandy's crew as second in command. i haven't thought much past ME1 because then there's a lot of painful WHICH TWIN DIES??? stuff to figure out

I think one of them staying behind while the other is recovered in Project Lazarus is kinda brilliant because it’s going to be as sad and as dramatic as good stories are, but damn that’s also way too heartbreaking. I wonder if in those circumstances Garrus would go to Omega or stay with the other twin. Are they all on good terms with all the crew?

i've never thought of shipping mshep/femshep! mostly because my favorite AU is twinshep. i love twin shepards.

Yep, that’s a good reason. They are quite popular, but I never know if in those AUs the other Shepard is with them on the Normandy under their command. Is that the case with you?
