both of them are. i think in a twin AU if only one twin dies, during those two years before their return the surviving shep either (A) gets even closer to the crew or (B) is driven away from the crew, both because of how much they remind shep of their twin. i think it would also be weird after lazarus because all of a sudden, surviving shep is arguably 2 years older and now the older sibling
Ah true. I haven’t thought about that. And they would grieve their twin, which would mean those two years would age them more than a lot of things they could experience. The Shepard who comes back might find the twin they knew is gone. That’s fascinating.
I think the surviving twin would get closer to the crew (mostly because I can’t imagine Garrus and co turning away the only Shepard left) but with the Normandy destroyed and the Alliance still deciding who is assigned where, I think they wouldn’t be able to stay together.
I wonder if the surviving twin will be mad at Joker. I assume in the scenario the other twin wouldn’t leave until Joker is saved? Oh man :/
