I don't think people are being mean or hurtful, but I think they just admire you because a lot of people want to be taller. I wouldn't want to be any shorter. ovo I think being tall is generally an advantage. Though, I admit that people commenting on my height puts me off sometimes. I was waiting for my turn to be interviewed for a cultural exchange program I applied for, and when I stood up, the interviewers collectively commented, "Wow! You're tall!" It completely derailed my train of thought.

Yeah its just things like that that throw me off like wow, of all the things to notice? Can't you say my outfit is cute or you like my hair or even that you think im pretty or something, do you have to comment on my height?

I used to be conscious about my height as well. I'm shy with new people and don't like attracting attention when I walk down the street, but it's a bit difficult because I'm 5'8" and the average height of girls in my country is 4'11" (but the people I tend to see tend to be 5'2" or something like that). I got over it though and take pride in my height because it's proven to be useful. When you're sad, you can just reach up to the top shelf for cookies without needing a chair to stand on lol

This is like my favourite thing, omg-- I've tried, honestly, to take pride in my height, but the closest i've gotten is knowing my legs are long and look great in shorts but i still cant wear heels without feeling monstrous or just... gu h
