These two are some really "great and powerful" buddies. Chiffon's parents are Soarin and Pinkie Pie. Ev's biological parents are Trixie and Discord, though raised by Starlight and Trixie.
Discord is still present sometimes to help but isn't considered Ev's dad, even if Ev knows they're biologically related of course.
Chiffon and Ev put on magic shows! Chiffon loves entertaining others and baking treats for the audience (as taught by their mom), while Ev is taking up the passion Trixie had while getting appreciation for the magic they have. Chiffon is more like the show runner but Ev does a lot of the technical stuff.
