"....oh. It was like that when I got here."
Alastor opened the door to I.M.P. dramatically and approached the front desk where a hellhound was sitting.
"I am here to see the owner of this establishment," he said, touching the end of his microphone cane for a brief moment before placing his hands behind his back.
"If he is unavailable then I would like to leave a message."
He seemed... polite enough. For the moment.
Loona sat tapping away at a mobile game, almost treating the overlord as dismissively as any sinner client who entered with a "Mhm," and scooting a sign-in sheet over to him before she recognized the iconic voice from the radio and looked up from her paused game. Her ears folded back and she blinked.
"I'll, uh... I'll check to see if he's in..."
She recognized Alastor from posters. Drawings of him anyways. And the voice from the radio. And knew from her times on the streets as a pup that it was best not to ignore overlords. So she beeped her adoptive father with a special button that let him know someone Important was at the front desk. It shortened the communication time and meant he could slip out if he wanted to. She waited to hear a beep back that would tell her to leave if Blitzo was 'abandoning ship' and when it didn't happen she remained where she was.
"... So um?" her tail tucked in. "Anything we can help you?" she asked, as she waited for Blitzo to arrive for the guest. "I can take a memo?" she dug out a sticky pad.
What had her father done?

The expression on Octavia's face caused Loona's ears to lie flat. If she had known that the young goetia would look like that when she came here then she probably would have lost her nerve before she packed up these newspapers and been this bold. But now that she was here, now that she had ripped the bandaid off...
"I..." she reached for the strap on her shoulder and set the bag on a chair next to Octavia's bed so she would be able to look inside of it at her own pace. "...Well, I brought the...the answer to all...the...." she trailed off.
She realized there was nothing in her power then to make it better. And something about that was worse than if she fucked up her words. So... "Via. I'm real sorry. I didn't want you to have to find out alone..." she touched her shoulder.
Slides Loona a dog biscuit without making eye contact.
Confused. Looks up from her phone and doesn't bother to lift her feet from the wall where she's lounging on the sofa. The two of them have taken turns at the front desk these days. No complaints from her.
She sniffs the biscuit and shrugs, taking it as a friendly offering and munches on it.
Chicken-flavored. Nice.
"Hey, bird man. Still no word from from Via?"
She took this as an offering to open conversation. She wasn't great at it herself. But she might as well try. It might make things easier for everyone.
Presented to Loona
Who's this from?
"Instead of death please use the phrase hamburger time when speaking to us." (From Cain to Loona)
starters of memes
"....uh." the hellhound hell the phone to her ear, slightly askew, narrowed her eyes. "'kay... Welcome to I.M.P. You pay, and we kill."
Since there was no need to say the word 'death' she had no need to say 'hamburger time' like he had requested.
"That work for you? Or is like...the topic of hamburger time something you want to avoid altogether because uh...if so." she pointed at the logo on the wall "...not the best place to hang out."
Loona after watching her friend cycle through every stage of grief in front of her in and then turn into the visual representation of Angst before saying "It'll be fine". when it's clear that things will not be fine.
............... "......I should've given her the bong first."
