Though Papyrus didn’t have any plans to live there himself, he loved visiting Waterfall almost more than any other place. It was peaceful, quiet, with the occasional humming that echoed down the rocky corridors with the constant rush of water in the background. If he sat down and closed his eyes, he could easily drift off to sleep right on the ground.
He jumped, shook himself. No time for dozing off now.
Just as he left Undyne’s house behind, he caught the sound of faint singing. Curious, he drew closer in the direction of the voice--it wasn’t one that he’d heard in Waterfall before. It led him toward the snail farm, and as the singing grew louder his steps grew more automatic, entranced by the voice.
When he happened upon the singer, a ghost who as of yet seemed not to notice him, he let out a short whoosh of air, his mouth slightly open as he listened.
*”Wowie, that’s beautiful.”
