And hmmm Lelantos info let's see..

I think it's easier to put in a bulleted list lol

He's a brother of Kalypso; he tags along with her on her outings to observe the human world.

His voracious appetite annoys her though (he keeps eating the humans she spies on.) They're both curious Lophians (odd ones compared to other long-tailed Lophians).

His name also means "unseen/to go unobserved". It's also the name of a titan with the skill of stalking prey. (Kalypso's name has a similar meaning--"she who conceals".) I chose both as a nod to the siren/lure concept Lophian's got going on.

Speaking of which, he is insanely gluttonous. He's always hungry. So he can't really help himself when he sees a delicious meal right in front of him...

Though his human is an exception. Let's just say he misinterpreted them accidentally leading people to his territory as a gift for him and well...he thought it was courting.

He's quite a messy eater too. Moreso than most other Lophians.

He's got sadistic tendencies--loves "playing" with his food before devouring them. (Letting them go free...swim close to the surface....before dragging them down again..and again...yea 💀)

^because of this he doesn't really make use of his toxins often--which has neutralizing properties to make one immobile and pass out. He prefers the thrill.

Big gift giver. He would scavenge nice or pretty things for his human from either shipwrecks or from his hunts.

Adding onto that, he stole a fishermen's net and a sail for the drip. (wears it like a robe around his waist)

Lophians don't really do the whole nickname thing for their mates, but because Lelantos is also learning more about the human world (from his human and Kalypso) he might try out *some* customs. Call you things like "Pearl" or "Moonlight."

Random but he originally was just a male version of Kalypso I drew for April fools day LOL. I even have the old colored sketch of him. I became too attached to the design though so I changed his color scheme to differentiate him from Kalypso a bit. (Lowkey this was also the creative inspo i needed to change the male lophian lore which I wanted to do awhile back)

So for your handsome fishy man, what would he feel about a partner that decides to hunt themselves? Like they don’t intend to leave him. (mainly for financial reasons.) but they don’t want to eat fish all the time. So they come back with wild pig.

Specifically because people who have claimed to have eaten other people say that human taste like pig meat.

Would he let them keep hunting orrrr would he hunt the pigs that swim in the ocean? ( there’s breeds that will)

He'd welcome it! In fact he'd love it, and want to join you. Lophians hunt in pairs all the time so this is something typical and familiar to him.

He'd let you leave to hunt if you're deemed trustworthy enough to go. Of course, he's always keeping an eye on you above water as well.

Wild pig is something he's never ventured out to see before, so he'd be intrigued. Unfortunately he can't stray from the ocean too far though. Definitely would want to try it (voracious eater that he is). He will most definitely try to hunt the species that swim in the ocean too lol. Have to provide for his mate after all.

And yknow what? If he finds a cute little one, he'll let you keep it as a pet. Since he doesn't want you to be lonely when he leaves to hunt, after all.

How da cave for the new bride of the Fish man going to work? Humans need sunlight too and cooked meat 🍖

He does know that humans need things like that.

So he often brings back human food he stole from his hunts for you to eat--things found on ships and stuff lol. Some of them good, some of them stale and old. (He's doing his best, okay. 💔) he's never fallen in love with a human before so this is quite new to him.

And ofc he'll let you go to the surface for a limited amount of time everyday; he knows being cooped up all the time is not good for you (he himself hates staying inside his den for too long as well).

Just be aware he'll be watching you the whole time. Gaze unwavering. And all 4 eyes just locked onto you.

If you do try to escape...

Well, he always has his venom to keep you in check.

Bro I'm like...obsessed with your merspecies lophians. I love that the pretty face is technically false and the 'real' ones are on top of their heads and can open up. Aside from the yandere content, this is just peak monster and mermaid designs. It's genuinely inspiring me to tackle on unique designs for merpeople.

Also I love the new yandere guy. I want to kiss his forehead(s?) And hope that doesn't mean he can drag me down to the depths of the sea according to his species language.
