i like to think that despite their many arguments, they would sometimes have quiet moments like these, just to be in each other's company and reminisce back to the good ole' days and such.

Also I wanted this to sort of "foreshadow" their ends in the movie! They're both sitting on the stairs to represent the two paths they could take, and the Onceler's looking down into the smog, and the Lorax is looking up at the sky. WOAH,, you get it. this is so deep frfr🥀🥀

Hiiii another oncie 🚧 wip 🚧 bc I can’t stop starting new stuff to draw I’m sorry 😭😭

But he’s so cute,,, I had to draw him again!! 🥹🥹 Oh and I gave him freckles and a scar on his jaw because he’d be so used to probably getting nicked by farmwork- ( it’s my hc that him and his family managed a farm- idk if it’s ever implied in the lore that’s what he was before leaving home, but it’s my personal interpretation 🫡)
