bar buddies | charlotte & lorcan
Charlotte pushed the heavy oak door, frowning when it didn't move and forcing it open with her shoulder. She slipped through as soon as the gap was wide enough, grimacing when the loud creaking of the ancient hinges caught the attention of a few of the patrons sitting inside. All she wanted was a quiet evening with a drink, maybe a quick chat with a bartender, and a small, harmless adventure. Maybe a walk through muggle London or something. Nothing too drastic - drama for today was off.
Slipping onto a stool about halfway down the counter, Charlotte flashed a smile at the bartender as she ordered, offering a quiet thanks when the familiar drink was finally placed before her. She took a sip and leaned forward on her elbows, enjoying the familiar warmth of the alcohol as she turned her head to scan the other occupants. There were a couple of professionally dressed women in the corner, gossiping in hushed voices, the one closer to Charlotte waving her hands around as she became more absorbed in telling her tale. Closer to her was a man with a familiar build - she trailed her eyes over his form for a moment, trying to identify him. Her lips curved to form a pleasantly surprised smile when she finally placed him. "Scamander?" Charlotte hadn't seen him in a long time, probably not since the days she had tried to follow in her brother’s footsteps by playing Chaser, but there was no mistaking him. Well okay, he did have a twin brother, so she could be wrong, but at least she hadn't use the wrong name.
