my thought is this: I’m not convinced this mofo is actually a Krudd/Yuk. Hear me out, I know it’s stupid and I’m overthinking things BUT.
99% of the times you see this ho are in the dark in the stump city, where everything is dimly lit and covered in soot. The times you see him in SUNLIGHT? or any decent level of lighting at all?
This idiot is blue and gold. Not brown, not black, not grey. Not even copper. He’s straight up blue and gold. All the colours on this picture are sampled off of screen caps of him in ‘good’ light levels. Maybe he’s not an amazing neon protagonist bug but pure Krud he aint. Give him a nice bath and I think he’d start distinctly NOT fitting in. At all.
This may actually be telling with regards to his obsession with alternative fuel sources and knack for building biotech. I mean, he’s not Magus/Eurekas, but he built a sentient machine that can make fuel out of sound waves... That sounds pretty Verigreen/Joyce to me.
(oh p.s. after hunting around I think he’s most likely some kind of acorn weevil! Hence the ref image. Acorn weevils actually have a very impressive wingspan btw!)
