Loki’s Day: Relaxation/Release
Saturday, or alternatively Lordag, bath day. Is what I consider to be Loki’s Day. Today is a day for fun, relaxation. You should feel free to shirk some responsibilities today. Give yourself a treat after a long weeks work. Play some tricks, maybe hang with friends. Have a nice quiet evening at home. What ever works for you, make sure that today is a day of contentment or joy.
Today, instead of being to serious, try to unwind yourself. Don’t try to focus on to much. It is after all, the last day of the week. You deserve a rest, sleep in, take naps, eat one more snack. Give yourself something special. If you don’t and you try to power through without any breaks at all, you’ll overexert yourself and then you won’t be doing your job, or anything as efficiently as you would otherwise.
While Loki often will make things problematic for the gods, this can be taken as a metaphor. Stop taking things so literal or so seriously. Learn to laugh at yourself, or at serious things, given the right situation. There’s room for jokes and pranks in moderation. So don’t over do it, but at the same time know when it’s the right time.
Alternatively, today is a day of release, a day of secrets to be told. Loki is the breaker of locks and boundaries. It may be time to reveal something, which may end up giving you stress. Prepare for this by doing something you love first. Then after you do, do something fun. Just don’t feel like you have to, maybe it isn’t time yet.
What ever you are doing on Loki’s Day, make sure to remember the most important part. Yourself. It’s a day of selfishness, and if you don’t feel like doing anything, then just don’t. If you’ve been holding off expressing yourself, or having a good cry. Maybe today is the day!
