A day together | Emmeryn & Chrom

It was a sunny day, and the weather was so good that Emmeryn, looking out the windom, sighed for the beauty of Yllisse lighted by the sun rays. She checked again that all the documents had been read and completed if necessary, and nodded at herself happy seeing that she did everything. Gods, she had been working for hours, stuck in that chair. And while she was stuck there, out there there were childrean playing together, and people going to the weekly market of the capital, with their happiness filling the air. That would have been fantastic...to go out just for once and passing a day out there. But she knew it was not possible, she could not act like a citizen, she knew. She at least could go out with her guards, but at that hour of the moring, the pegasus knights were training. But even so, she wouldn't have been able to really have a calm and quiet walk. Thinking of that, she hadn't had much time to spend with Chrom and Lissa... She found herself daydreaming when suddenly someone knocked at the door. -Who's there?-

Dear dad Father:

If not for you, I would have not been given life onto this planet. Although I am not the one to have all of your love directed to. The real Lucina back in the castle should be the one having these feelings shown to her, not me. The Father back in my time had… passed… away… and I… have already accepted that fate.

I am here to challenge everybody’s fate. The future now will lead to endless despair, with almost every Shepherd… dead.

I cannot bear the thought of the past me crying, through the years and years after your fated death. Only this time, I want the real Lucina to grow up with her Father and Mother next to her in a peaceful future and be able to do anything she wants.

As for me, I will take my leave. If I do stay with you, Father, it will cause unnecessary commotions and questioning amongst the kingdom. But it will be alright, I promise.

You and Mother have both given me so many memories to remember for the rest of my life. The happiness that was given to me through all the combats will be enough to suffice. There is no need to look after me anymore, nor will you need to come and find me. I will… be fine.

Please Father, if there is one request for you to hear me out, it will be this: If baby Lucina ever pretends to have her own Junior Shepherds, please be kind to her… They may be all she has.

It was a beautiful evening, with the sun setting and the people starting to withdraw back home. From the window where the eye-branded princess looked from, there were many people setting up stalls and various activities. She wondered why this was so, so she walked out of her room and into her father's.

"Father, it's me, Lucina." She claimed, after knocking. She entered into his room not too shortly after and stood near the door.

"Father... Is there a particular reason for the people to be setting up a whole stack of boxes and stalls this evening?" Lucina questioned, curious as to why they were setting things up at this hour rather than the morning.

The princess had placed many things on her bed and double-checked that she had everything. She muttered to herself, and started placing each item neatly into the large backpack. Every essentials were needed, as she was not going to return for a few days.

Lucina picked up a simple white dress, looked at it for a while and placed it into the last vacant spot of the backpack. It felt odd to wear a her usual clothes with armour for the few upcoming days, so the dress was her next choice. She wanted to feel free of worries-- and the dress was there to accomplish that.

She put the backpack on and headed towards the castle gates, where she and her father would meet.

"Father! I'm ready to leave now." The princess called out, fully energised for a trip through the forest.

The Prince and The Mercenary || Chrom & Severa

Severa ran, stumbling sometimes as she held onto her injured shoulder. How the heck did that happen? All she did was go out to check on something then she was suddenly attacked by half a dozen Risen. She managed to kill off two of them before one struck her from behind so now she had to run away, but not towards the camp. 

It was late and most of them were tired. These were just a handful of Risen, she could just take care of them herself but she needed to gain some distance. Since she was wounded, there wasn't that much that she could do like this.

"Ugh... what a time to be clumsy and let my guard down..." she sighed as she finally managed to lose the Risen and rested against the tree. "Still... I thought Frederick said there wasn't anything unusual... Oh well..." 

Just as she was about to get up, she found herself face to face with the undead enemy. She fell back in surprise and closed her eyes, waiting for the end.

Morning Sunrise

The tactician sighed as she stepped out of her tent, stretching her arms over her head after a long night. She probably wouldn't tell anybody this, but she had stayed up all night planning and writing down possible future battle plans and reading. It wasn't healthy, which was why she didn't tell anyone.

But it was good that the sun had risen, and the fresh air felt nice today. So she decided to take a break from all of the reading to take in the morning sunrise. She was sure that by now, the others were either sleeping or practicing their morning routines. But instead, Robin walked along the camp quietly, trying to get the closest view of the sky. The sun wasn't all the way up in the sky yet, so the sunrise was quite beautiful. One of the many things that brought joy to a day.
