hey i draw this. happy WWT day !
i am hardcore Lorde stan and honestly i won't be really upset if L4 coming out next year, like i will have no problem with that even tho i am super hype with every update that Ella gives us.
the thing is, i think the 3 album she made so far already captures girlhoods perfectly.
first we got pure heroine, the beginning of era, she wrote it when she was 16! she captures everything about having a bestfriend, friend group, nostalgic feelings, puppy love, her story about suddenly being famous. like, i know it the second i listen it, THIS IS TEEN LOVE. this is what being a teens feels like. it's deep in feelings but simple in words. teens think of big things and see love in everywhere.
and then melodrama comes, the start of her 20th. she explore so much more about love, she experienced heartbreaks, she learn how to love. in the most, most, most beautiful and exciting way possible. but she didn't forget to slip some nostalgic and dear feelings to us. she's growing and she's in the middle of something.
solar power comes with controversy. isn't easy to understand at first listen. but i love it. she's maturing even more on this album. she explore grief, forgiveness, and most importantly healing! her music become soft, elegant, summer-esque, and it's so beautiful and powerful.
it's like a perfect album trilogy of girlhood, which you grow up with. that's why Lorde is very dear to me. i am excited for L4 and i want it to be perfect so i hope Ella isn't going to rush in making it. i know she's on production rn so take ur time Ella <33
