Title: ”Lord of the dead” . Inspiration: King’s quest VI . . Description: . During my volunteer work at Criadouro Onça Pintada (Jaguar breeding ground) 2014, a park for wildlife animals outside Curitiba. A place where all animals from Jaguars to birds to deer/elk and everything in between, are participates in the preservation and perpetuation of the Brazilian fauna and flora. At the that time, there were a Jaguar kid only 3 months old, that I had the chance to play with. During my stay I was alone volunteer worker, because of the low season, so had the park’s quest house all be myself. . Week 3 of 4, I saw an episode of “Steam Train” and part 17 “SO METAL” where Dan and Ross came across “Lord of the dead” in the game. So days after, I started to draw what got inspired by. . During my drawing session, I found a spider bigger than my hand, in the restroom. Remembered that I had one or two beers I had bought from the family I stayed at, before I came out to the park. The girl in the family had a boyfriend, who had a band called “Labrador” and at their first concert, they brew their own beer. Of course I bought some as a support and souvenir. . So I grabbed a jumper and gloves and a big candy box, a gift from the park’s founders. I managed to get the spider out and I asked one the employees, the day after, if this one was poisonous the day after and show him a picture. “Yes” did he say in Portuguese and meant it’s poison could give a big rash and swollen up pretty bad. . Luckily, it didn’t bite me and I was satisfied with the draw I did, using only a pencil. .
