My sister was born 120000 years before I was ever even an idea. But yes I was made in a lab while she was born naturally. It’s one of a few distinct differences between us.

Father truly used every method to have offspring. As you’ve said I was born naturally, with a few repercussions afterwards, Eclipse was created from cells off of his own body and you were made my combining genetic material from both him and a generic Mobian hedgehog. Though perhaps the only outlier was Eclipse. And my dress was purchased in a little shop in Central Station, Rouge picked it out for me and asked the tailor to make alterations to it.

Sovana

Mei

For Mei's portrait I wanted it to be a pun of "eyes on me" get it.. cus.. cus the eyes are on her... (please laugh) But I also wanted to evoke a sense of danger. I wanted Mei to be kind of an elegant, deadly sort of beauty. Her background is largely unknown, though from her demeanor, her way of speaking— Sovana and her mentor have concluded that she was something like a noble, or at the very least a wealthy or high ranking lady when she was alive.

For Sovana, it's titled "look away" despite her golden accessories and staring directly at you. Yay irony because I think it's neat. Their expression is also more urgent, to contrast Mei's. Red background, further connecting to Mei's red eyes. I tried to make them compliment each other when I was creating them. Mei being an undead who was great at everything except magic, and Sovana being a sorceress whose only talent was magic.

I'll try to dig deeper with their lore and personalities and all that good stuff once I finish redesigning Sovana's mentor (⁠ ⁠≧⁠Д⁠≦⁠)

Hullo! I bring Leshy rambles today!

According to Defying Fate Au! (Aka lore!)

Leshy was quite literally a baby infant when he got the crown. Baby Leshy was taken care of by the green crown before Kallamar found him.

Leshy, much like Ceali, talks to his crown. Aware that it's sentient. (Note: The green crown is essentially like Morph from Treasure planet)

Leshy is very prone to night terrors. Though these night terrors were vivid premonitions, he came to learn later as these terrors came to pass. (One of these terrors was the day the bishops betrayed Narinder. Leshy was approximately 6 when the dream occurred. Leshy thought Narinder was dead and quite literally jumped the cat that night to make sure his brother still breathed. Narinder was stuck for a few months with a terrified worm child in his bed. )

Leshy was actually the only sibling to not like Shamura. Looking up to mainly Narinder and Heket. The main reason was that the older bishop was too strict and rarely genuine with any sibling. It often made him on edge as if one wrong move would provoke the spider.

Fond of pranks, Kallamar often became a target for Leshys mischief. One too many times, Leshy made the poor squid ink himself.

First time meeting Theo (yellow cat), Leshy accidentally thought it was his brother. It led to a scuffle that was broken up by Ceali. Leshy never apologized for this, merely told Theo to change his smell.

When upset, Leshy burrows in the dirt. Only coming up to bite those who get too close. Theo was the only one to get him out, much to all the siblings' surprise.

Leshy is percisely 1 inch taller than Narinder. Yes, he does hold this over the cats head.

After losing his crown and being indoctrinated. Leshy is found sulking near where the green crown was set. Often mummbling, "cmon at least let me know you alive buddy.... I get it, I lost your favor... but... like you're not dead right?"

Theo once died on Leshy, a mission gone wrong. Leshy was beyond panicked and hounded Ceali to fix it. (This was prior to realizing he liked said cat. His excuse is that he needs a rematch with the furball)

Aside from burrowing in the dirt, leshy can also stick to walls and ceilings.

Leshy can't eat cheese. He is lactose intolerant. He will still eat it, and proceed to complain about it.

His tail once cuaght fire and he didn't notice till someone screamed.

Is prone to repeating random 'cool' sounds he hears. Got good at mimicking birds.

The exploding fish in Kallamars domain was his idea that Kallamar actually found to be genius. Even if Leshy was looking at it as a "it looks so cool" entertainment.

He hates sitting still and often needs to keep moving/busy. There are very rare moments he will sit still and watch. (Aka Theo laid on him, and now he must not move)

Little Leshy had a bell tied to his tail for Kallamars sanity. (Didn't always work)

You silently slip out of the shed, making sure to close it behind you. You quickly snag one of the ice flowers growing at the base of the treehouse’s trunk with your front coupler and head off through the trees, doing your best not to disturb any bushes or other foliage that could rustle loud enough to alert anyone.

Ok. Good. Cool, brilliant even. That’s the hard part over with. Now you just have to find one of those things again. And… Also hope the vines can lift up a heavy metal engine should worst case scenario happen…

You just stare for a few minutes.

Debating.

Should you really do this? There’s bound to be some other way to figure it out. Why do you want to do it this way so badly?

You huff quietly through your nose as you grab the ice flower from your outstretched coupler with your teeth, pulling it into your maw with your tongue before biting down on it with a crisp crunch, a chilling sensation swirling through you as the flower’s magic kicks in and solidifies your form.

Solid metal. Just how you were before your monsterization. You don’t often wish to go back to being rigid, but in this instance it’s the only real way you can test… “Awright, Douglas, yoo’ve awready swiped a flower… Can’nae go back on that…”

I gotta say: the ‘if I’m not scary, then who am I’ scene from Chapter 7 gets a whole lot better when you realise that Wiggly actually has a point.

Remember, canonically speaking he basically has no defining features that really set him apart from any of his brothers. He’s just the leader, and that’s it. He doesn’t have some unique title: he’s just ‘The King in Black’. A step above his brothers, and… what else?

No wonder he’s so worked up about it: because he’s right. He literally has no identity outside of being The King in Black.

(in other words slowly realising that nib!Wiggly is so desperate to cover up his insecurities that he made his arrogance literally his entire personality was definitely the highlight of my day. keep it up man, you rock)

I'm eating this analysis its scrumdiddlyumptious!!! Though I suppose I disagree a little bit? At least on the canonical part!

I will say one of my "problems" with the lords in canon is that they are so very rarely seen and as a result there is little depth given into their characters. Which, I mean, is completely fine for their roles in hatchetfield! They are infinitely evil beings that are just evil for evils sake and that works!

I will also say that I do think canon Wiggly does have a bit of defining characteristics, as in his underwater/aquatic theming, as well as his underlying message about human greed, unfufillment, and capitalism. Arguably I'd say canon Blinky and Pokey bleed more together, considering the whole influence on people/putting on shows thing.

But anyway!! I do think its interesting to turn Wigglys theme of unfufillment and the lengths you go to fufill yourself onto him. And thats the angle I approach him with! Much like the shoppers in Black Friday, he has a sense of unsatisfaction that he tries to fill with power and conquest. Take that all away and well.. that gaping hole becomes more apparent!

I love writing the Lords because its a fun challenge to write depth into characters that really havent been gone into a lot of depth in canon.
