An Address to the Community

CITIZENS! LOYAL SUBJECTS!
It is once again time for me – the greatest presidential candidate – to address the nation.
We – the MCYTblr-community – are standing at a precipice. Our once glorious and tremendous nation has grown weak. It has grown decadent. It has grown soft. We are beset on all sides by enemies WAITING to strike!
Only a strong and powerful leader will be able to stem the tides of anarchy and destruction. To repel our enemies and establish tumblr at its rightful place at the centre of the internet!
It is time for you – the ordinary citizens of this, our beautiful website – to rise up and tear down the systems of corruption and weakness that hold you back! To oust the corrupt tumblr elites; to drag them into the streets and show them what real, patriotic tumblrians think of their practices!
It is time for you to take up arms against the violent, deceitful anarchists that try to indoctrinate those you hold dear! That try to take away everything that you hold dear! That try to force their twisted and oppressive ideology on you; to take away your freedom. To take away your autonomy!
Whether it’s the elites or the anarchists – they will show you no empathy! They will show you no compassion! They will show you no mercy – so I think it’s just fair that we return the favour!
They think that they can SCARE YOU! That they can TERRORIZE YOU! That you will just take this humiliation lying down!
But what they don’t know is that our community is strong! That we stand together! They underestimate the power of the people that truly love this community; that are willing to fight for it! That are willing to die for it!
We are one community! We are a family! All you need is a vision! A Leader. A voice. And I am honoured to be that voice!
Together, we will strike them down by taking away their most powerful weapon:
Books.
I mean, think about it folks. Books are the tool of the elites and the radical. They’re the privilege of the “intellectual elite” – while they look down on you! The hard-working citizens that make this community what it is!
What do you have to gain from ancient lies and slander, written down by people that are not like you! That, in fact, despise you! Let me make this tremendously clear – these people hate you!
They hate you, because they fear you. These books are a shield for them – to hide behind their “intellectual musings” and their fancy words and theories. Because they don’t want to accept the reality of the world, the reality that any sane person can see with their own two eyes! They think their academia is more valuable – more valid! – than your common sense!
And some go even farther than that! Some use those books as a reason to restrict your freedoms! To make you into second-class citizens! To take away the things you earned with your honest labour!
But not under my watch, folks.
UNDER DT2021. ALL LIBRARIES WILL BE DECLARED OBSOLETE!
And do you know what smart businessmen do with obsolete things? They burn them down.
I HEREBY PROMISE YOU … THAT MY FIRST ACT AS PRESIDENT WILL BE … TO REPLACE ALL LIBRARIES WITH SHOPPING MALLS AND PRISONS!
FOR MORE PROSPERITY AND MORE SECURITY! TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE REAL CITIZENS – OF YOU!
And who knows? You are all go-getters, you all know how to take charge! Maybe the flames of your righteous anger will burn … even tonight.
It’s not like it wouldn’t be deserved, folks. It’s not like we didn’t warn them.
