Emily and Richard talk about Trix in this episode like she’s dead, and that obviously means that Amy Sherman Palladino did not have any plans to write her as a character, never mind contribute to Emily’s character development. That got me thinking about Emily’s estranged sister, who is almost mentioned sometime early on in the series, and how fun it would have been to have Emily interact with a sibling. Imagine the possibilities...

That time Korn lived at your Gran’s house..

So I’m on Season 3 so far of my Gilmore Girls rewatch and does anyone remember that time when Lorelai the First mentions that she rented her house to Korn? Pure TV gold.

TRIX: Well, for the past year, I’ve been renting my home in Hartford to a group of musicians. They’ve recently moved out, so I had to come check on the house and secure a new tenant.

LORELAI: What kind of musicians?

TRIX: A rock and roll group of some sort. I believe they call themselves Korn.

LORELAI: You rented your house to Korn?

RORY: That’s so cool!

TRIX: They were fine tenants. Took wonderful care of the place. They planted some lovely tulips in the front yard.

when they talk about lorelai the first in s1, they talk about her in the past tense like she's dead...but then later in the show she shows up.
