lorenz is honestly one of my favorite characters and the reason is that i spent such a long time hating him but when i finally played verdant wind (saved the best for last) and saw his character development i was genuinely impressed. i’d played all the other routes beforehand and went through every academy phase going “ew lorenz”, including when i finally did verdant wind because he’s so pompous and full of himself as a student. he’s basically the definition of arrogant spoiled noble kid. but then he grows up and is actually a respectable personable after the timeskip?? he even made his hair slightly better?? i think it particularly hit me when i got his A support with claude. seeing him finally respect claude as a leader and a friend was really nice, and all in all was the main reason i actually started liking lorenz(probably because i love claude and couldn’t stand lorenz hating on him lol). i distinctly remember sitting there while watching it and being genuinely surprised it. his development is really great and even though he’s still far from perfect, the fact that i was able to change my opinion of him as much as i did is probably why i like him so much. the golden deer has the best characters imo, or at least my favorite out of all the houses. too bad linhardt’s not part of them because then all my favorites would be in there (and he’d actually have supports with claude but that’s not important right now). anyways i like my deer they’re awesome
