the sunlight streams down on the camp, lighting it in a golden glow. the air is fresh with the scent of the trees that surround their demigod hideaway and he feels lucky to see the sunlight after being in hell for those few days. his body is still sore from the trial, but he knows he needs to get back into the swing of things, back into his groove.
which, for kian prieto, meant painting.
he has his canvas, a few paintbrushes, and plenty of colors. now he just needs a subject. he’s set his things up near the edge of the forest before he’s gone to look for someone. maybe he needs to do a portrait instead of a still life. eyes fall onto another newcomer, one he hasn’t really talked to much.
“uh, hey.” he calls out, waving a hand, paintbrush between his fingers. “mind if i paint you?”
