Lori Eastside and Nada - I'm Not Gonna Take It

I've reached the stage where I'm nostalgic for the pandemic Zoom collabs. Allan Arkush gets the band back together from Get Crazy (1983) in 2021.

Bonus: In the movie, the song is interrupted by story elements, but Arkush also posted a version they cut for MTV of just the song, but you'll have to look elsewhere for the Lee Ving stage dive.

The lyrics of this song are somewhat disconcerting, but I still love it. Lori Eastside is such a badass.

Kid Creole & The Coconuts, "Going Places"

Lori Eastside takes the lead with The Coconuts in close pursuit (and Coati Mundi on some coool vibes) on this uptempo reading of a song that imparts a fundamental truth:

"Believe me, I know, When you leave New York, you go Nowhere."
