Things got a bit hectic in my head recently, which means it was time for something more elaborate than my GAJ (yes still doing that, practicing a lot with watercolour and doing flowers and stuff I will scann the new pages on the weekend I suppose c:) so I bring forth sunflowers and love.

This one is for the lovely and very dear @lorieninksong <3 Been a hot minute since I last drew your sona, but ah, I acquired this lovely spiral spiderweb stamp and it screamed halo at me and I only know one person who can wear such a halo in style. Things just happened from there.

I still know nothing about trolls but I love them. Your troll artwork in general is incredible btw. I may have to watch the movies now, you are winning. XD

they are incredibly silly movies, but as soon as you let go and take any part of them seriously, It's Over.

like oh my god.... he thinks he's responsible for his grandmother's death and that's haunted his every step for the past 2 decades... he thinks singing killed his grandma...😭😭😭

the first is probably the strongest film of all of them, tho it's sense of humor i generally vibe with the least.

the second has one of my favorite messages in kid's animation from the like. last 20 years, despite it feeling like it coulda benefited from another go in writer's room. but it also has HICKORY. won't spoil here why he gets me runnin around the room, but if you know you know.

and the third movie..?

there is so much here that is joey's brand of kryptonite. like it was Hand Picked to make me, specifically, go hog wild. just the traditional pink pig, rolling in the dirt, shriek-oinking at 200 dB kind of hog wild.

y'know how stories that feel somewhat incomplete or have things unexplored lend themselves to fanworks a little better? that's what's goin on here.

I know what happened to Mewtwo was extremely painful, frightening, and that the marks are permanent but what struck me most is how he kept holding Amber. Everything else was set aside for her. Its an incredible display of parental love defeating all else. I wonder if in time he'll realize what he did for Amber, and how the scars are proof of that, if it would make the scars easier (psychologically) for him to bear?

Oh he'll know. He wouldn't ever regret doing what he did, he basically saved her life. If Mewtwo hadn't have stepped in and counteracted her power with his own, Amber's predicament would've been a lot worse. To him, bearing that scar will be a very small price to pay.

oh gosh I remember when prismas used to be better... I tried faber castels and like them, would they be any good for botanical illustration?

Faber-castells are THE reccomended brand for BI for affordability, preformance and generally being nontoxic.  They also blend well with alcohol.

I think Martha used some kind of wax since Prismas already have a wax-based lead but I’ll send her an email to find out.

If you feel reasonably confident in your brushwork/have a small-ass watercolor brush, you can also just remove the lead, smash it up, dissolve it with baby Oil and use it like paint.  Which is what I did with my Black Grape when the lead just fell out of it.

Thank you!! I cannot WAIT to share it with you all. It’s got all the right pieces in all the right places. I even think my own query letter is awesome, and those are usually excruciating to write.

Wtf. Do you think its misogyny motivated or because they don’t want to monetize the anti-feminisms MRA videos that also get tagged that way? (It still doesn’t make it right) Is there anything we can do to help?

I think it’s just an automatic bot that flags anything “controversial.” Like same thing goes for anything LGBT related. If I tag my videos with that, I’ll get flagged as “unsuitable for advertisers” regardless of how positive and progressive my actual video is on the subject. It’s definitely the anti-feminist, bigoted, homophobic video makers that made this happen in the first place. But those of us making videos from the opposite side of the fence get hit with it just as badly because we’re talking about something “controversial” at all.

But that's not the reason I'm writing. I'm concerned that your Mom is abusing you. Going from promising to support you to ransacking your stuff? Its textbook. Hey, Lo. If I locked my door, I’d absolutely be yelled at. It’s a cultural thing. It’s fine. I think that my life is really more or less just a ‘make the best of it’ kind of thing now. Thinking about it in black and white terms like ‘abuse?’ isn’t helpful when I have examined all the facts and the choices I have to make and this is genuinely how I’ve consciously chosen to live within those parameters. I’m fully 27 years old and I’ve got tentative distant future plans and very tumultuous near future plans (which are very much not set in stone due to how unstable everything is at the moment) so it’s like a one-day-at-a-time sort of thing. And by now it’s not so much an up-down power imbalance within my household and family either. During my grandmother’s ailing and in the events surrounding her passing I’ve ‘leveled up’, so to speak. Nobody in my family can try me without getting hurt badly right back, which means I’ve got a cushion of (sometimes begrudging) respect and debt owed towards me to keep me at least a little safer and more secure than before. I really really do appreciate the concern, but I think I’ve got a handle on it. Mostly. I’m surviving. Things are looking up. A little. Probably. And it’s that glimmer of hope that makes suffering at any level worth it.

A butterfly net could work to catch it... the trick would be manipulating spidey into the net so you could twist it closed and take it outside.  Are you finding them on the walls or the floor?

Nice idea! Im always grab something I can see through and a harder newspaper, but this can work too. They are wolf spiders, usually they chill on the ground, in the corners and they are so fast :”D
