‘ you’re always a welcome harassment,’ she mumbles with a smile as she traces her calloused fingertips over the silken arm of the chaise lounge she had fallen onto. and to everything about her movement, there was an immeasurable amount of GRACE — the fluidity of her limbs TRANSCENDED only by the way in which her seraphic voice lingered in the stale air.
“ — just hear me out okay ? so this girl came in today, i don’t think she’s from derry ‘cause i didn’t recognize her. but hey - she had long brown hair, cute denim jacket - she was attractive. she was so excited to get a tattoo today. she told me that she wanted to just skip the meeting in which we talked about where her tattoo would be, how big it would be, pain, time length, & all that good shit. so i was like ‘ okay cool. i hope that this girl is 100% sure ’. & so i asked her what she wanted me to permanently put on her body & she holds out her coffee & takes the top off going ‘ so i got this latte & they made the foam look like a guy & i took one look at it & i swear to god he’s my soulmate so i want it tattooed on me so i can find him later on ’. i looked down at the coffee & told her alright - because i could totally see the face. i don’t know how old the girl was, or if she watched television, but i can’t hope but WONDER if she knows the face in her coffee was danny devito or not. kudos to the person who made her latte though - this girl’s parents are going to be disappointed. ”

slade had been sitting down in the commons for a bit. watching people go by. the usual thoughts crept into her head, causing her to see each person walking by as a minute passed. how many ‘people’ did she have left?? what happens when the last person walks by?? her heart pounded nervously before she shook her head, stood up, and walked to the first seemingly welcoming face she saw. “h-hey, uh...what do people do here for fun?? i’m so bored, i think i might soberly call my ex.”
