so. i think i deleted all the art i had of him up so. yeah but! yeah

anyway i have to describe the universe he’s from it’s basically like,,,a bizarre mix of medieval and urban fantasy. anyway, the basically equivalent of the catholic church in this universe is very big and important and there’s a whole,,,human sacrifice thing going on? basically out of the eight highest ranking noble families someone gets chosen by a whoever is the church’s head sage and basically just. flung through a portal that leads to somewhere mysterious every century or so. the belief is that there’s a god thing on the other side and in return for the people getting sent through, it doesn’t come through the portal and kill everyone. they send someone through the portal after a few weeks 2 verify that they’re dead (that person usually doesn’t come back either but it’s seen as like. an honor thing. anyway, the sacrifice not coming back could be them hiding, but the soldier not coming back is seen as death, since nobody considers they’d ever stay there willingly when they’re oh so loyal.)

ANYWAY. persimmon is part of the army that’s run by the church in all but name and he’s the one who gets chosen to verify that this sacrifice is dead. so he goes through and it’s like,,,a really desolate island covered in ruins and surrounded by ocean and mist and he’s like. okay. and immediately discovers that the sacrifice is very much alive. his name is ren and he’s very stabby. he names persimmon persimmon bc he has orange hair and refuses to call him anything else. this is already way too much typing i’m sorry this is just about shoddy worldbuilding and not the characters so i’ll just put some quick info.

persimmon!! trans!! biceps for days!! he is this worlds equivalent of desi because i said so. has inexplicably orange hair. calls ren as many wildly inaccurate titles as humanly possible. knows a little spellcraft like most soldiers but not anything of note.

ren!! bitch!! he’s kind of like a really sour snarky wet cat but a person <33 very smart but bad in a crisis. scrawny. his love language is banter. stabby.
