Lost Abbey Mopeds in Milan Italian-Style Pilsner (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. A clean, refreshing pilsner with a nice traditional hop profile for the style -- a bit of grass, pine, and some floral notes stand out. Nothing is out of place here -- this is a great exemplar of the style.

Farmhouse Lager / Lost Abbey (San Marcos, CA)

すっきりとしたはちみつとニワトコの花のような香り。口に含むと瞬間的に酸味が感じられ、同時にエルダーフラワーの香りが広がる。これまたすっきりとしたフィニッシュで、飲みやすい。ただのラガーではなくきちっと酵母の感じを残している。

Lost Abbey's Moral Codes West Coast DIPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. A good, straight-ahead West Coast DIPA -- lots of pine and citrus to go around and an aggressively bitter and slightly sticky body. Quite aggressive on the palate, as you might expect, and finishes with a touch of resin.

Lost Abbey Every Everything West Coast IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. A pretty standard pine/citrus profile on this with quite a lot of resinous bitterness towards the finish. The body is on the lighter side initially, although there is some good caramel malt character mid-body and it's quite balanced.

Lost Abbey Unseen Things Tropical Rye IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Definitely get the bright tropical notes in the nose and a nice standard West Coast IPA body. The rye is quite subtle here, but this is a nice IPA.

Lost Abbey’s Devil Went Down to Georgia (Picked up at the brewery). A 4 of 4. A great, big barleywine that delivers a lot of complexity, and the peaches and black tea are a nice touch. The tea is not that strong, but there is a slight astringent quality in the body, and, of course, the sweetness you’d expect in a barleywine. The alcohol helps cut quite a bit of it, and some nice woody, barrel complexity works as well.
