Tickle Galaxy Episode 17 Season 1
"The Warning"
This episode was discarded and censored after its only airing along Episode 16 and 18. The director and principal writer of the idea recieved a scold for the dark nature of the episode.
When airing and broadcasting the episodes on TV , they are aired in stacks/groups of 3. When broadcasting Episode 16 and 18, people often ask themselves "Where is Episode 17?" "Why hasn't it been replaced with some other new episode?"
The premise of the episode is presumed to be around Black Mind, her being the protagonist of this episode.
Someone, hoping to find at least something about the script or story of the episode, found this, using the Wayback Machine in Tickle Galaxy's page in CTV Channel's official page:
It's the only proof of the episode presumably existing, but still, what is the episode about? On the top comment of one review/analysis of the episode after it got censored in its entirety, the user says they saw the episode when it aired for the very first time and never saw it again. They seemed to remember the whole episode with very delicate details even.
"The intro was normal, nothing different, but the title card with the name of the episode and some art about it gave me an ominous and strange feeling, like as if I was being watched. It was Black Mind in a void and the light of a window casting on her as if a lighting striked outside. She had a blank stare that just felt off and uneasy.
The episode started normally, with a happy vibe, Black Mind was practicing her flight, doing spins, loops, all sort of tricks in mid air. And Star, Lester and the rest of the pillars were sitting on the porch looking at her and commenting how cool she looked while flying. How graceful she was. After Black Mind finished, they applauded her, and she went sat beside them taking a break. Silven asked her if she could do her a favor, if she could bring his electric guitar to replace one of the strings since it was damaged.
The scene cut to Black Mind leaving a store with the repaired electric guitar inside the case on her back. She then saw a poster that advertised about some sort of Air Tricks Contest for those who have wings or powers. Black Mind was excited and decided to go practice as soon as she gave Silven his guitar back. When she left, I remember the camera slowly turning back to the store, in the showcase window to be more specific. There were several televisions on it, and there was a Weather Warning about a Severe Thunderstorm on the afternoon.
The next scene gave me the same feeling the Title Card gave me. It felt so out of place for Tickle Galaxy. Black Mind was again in a void, and a voice that didn't really have an emitter or a body, warned her:
"For the love of anything holy, don't go out to practice today. You might not even have a chance to change your mind."
The scene cut to Black Mind preparing to practice. The weather still seemed pretty normal. Some clouds slowly approaching but nothing very agressive yet. She begun to soar around the sky, kind of distracted and uneasy after the warning. She wasn't sure if it was some sort of mind game or something else. But she seemed very determined to participate on the contest. Then in the house, Star and Lester are watching TV, the weather warning again being aired. They went outside to call Black Mind, since the storm was slowly approaching. The episode just went completely downfall at this point. A lightning struck beside Black Mind while she was slowly descending, the rain getting wild aswell as the wind. The lightning startled her and made her lose control of her wings, spinning on the air, and without her even having a split second to react, another lightning struck directly to her chest, the ramifications of lightning traveling through all her body and completely destroying and stripping away her beautiful black wings. I think even strands of her hair flew off, bits of her cloth aswell. Star and Lester looked completely horrified. The charred and electrocuted body of their friend falling to the ground in a painful thud. Her chest was open, her skin completely burnt and her whole body with no signs of life.
The whole scene which lasts like a whole minute, was heartbreaking, all of the pillars completely devastated by the sudden and horrifying death of their friend but Lester and Star were the ones crying the most.
The screen stood pitch black for around 10 seconds or less and then it cut to Black Mind, completely burnt and her wings looking like dry branches, sitting in the floor of a void. With some fog in the ambiance. She then got up and looked at the camera, Her face and clothes were ripped and charred, and the sight of her wings looking like dry branches was horrible. Then she talked, but her voice had a echo and reverb effect as if it was representing she wasn't alive anymore and was in some sort of limbo.
"Don't do what I did. Never ignore your gut feeling. Or else you will not have opportunity to regret it later..."
The episode ended there, but the credits didn't even have ... Credits. The night sky and rainbow it used to have wasn't colorful anymore, it was a stormy sky with dark clouds and distant lightnings striking, and no music."
The only remainings or proofs of the episode existing are 3 screenshots, two of them that are the presumable main reason why it was censored on its entirety. One of them the proof that at least it was part of the episodes that were once aired on Public TV.
PD: I decided to visit the Tickle Galaxy Episode list by myself in the Comfy TV page around 2 AM today and this is how the page looked for around 20 seconds, and some weird music started to sound in the background.
After I refreshed the page it sent me to the typical "502 Bad Gateway cloudflare nginx" error. I have no idea what or why it changed and why it looked like it was "censored"
